the stray cat had kittens 5 days ago.....now she has an odor and a discharge......or is the odor just bad farts?

Cats will spot for about a week after giving birth as the uterus heals, however, if the odor is foul, it's possible that she may have an infection that would require antibiotics to heal.

What color is the discharge?

Are mom and kittens inside your home? Is mom acting as though she does not feel well? Are the kittens nursing well?
