I just know the basics, but I can tell you to find a food with as few additives as possible, and with as little grain as possible. Corn is worst, rice is fine. The ingredients are listed in the order of %. So the first ingredient on the list is what the bulk of the food it. Hope that helps a LITTLE!

It is, at least, a starting point.
I do know lamb and rice is best for upset stomach. I've been told as long as you supplement with kitten kibble adult canned is fine.
And as someone else said stay away from food with mystery meat and additives. Grocery store brands are notorious for being full of junk and additives.
