Good for you! It was a huge relief. I felt really bad, because I felt like I hadn't been spending enough time with her. But things are good now.

One thing that helped locate her was I had a personalized dog tag on her collar instead of a regular tag. It was really light, and it stood out, and it jingled like a bell. I recommend it if you're really worried about your kitties getting lost. And you can put some really cute things on it, like "my name is ______. I'm thirsty and hungry, please call my mommy at ______.

Petsmart.com has a personalized breakaway cat collar that you can put the cat's name and your phone number on. I'm getting them for my cats (getting them to wear collars will be another matter!)

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
You probably havent got any by now, but have you tried sprinkling some of her used litter around outside for her to sniff?.

I sometimes take my two out in the yard on their harness to sniff around just incase they ever got out (God forbid)

Your best bet is to borrow a trap and trap her. The longer she is out, the riskier for her.
