Susie i'm just catching up with the update now

We would all be feeling the same way that you are now no matter how much we were told how good a mum or dad we are to our fur kids.

Look at it this way. Parents get at their kids for eating too much greasy foods because it gives them spots, so you've now made sure that your kids don't get spots again because you went straight out to buy new bowls for them.

This is one of the great things about this site, it's educational, because like i said in my earlier post, i never knew about the plastic bowls causing acne until i came here.

Bless her little heart, she has what we humans would call " a sensitive skin "

Thanks Susan.........I've learned alot about raising kitties, that's for sure. I am so glad I learned about the plastic bowls though. I URGE everone to get rid of them and go out and get either stainless steel or ceramic bowls before it happens to one of yours...........

Trixie keeps following me around this morning like she's looking for Petals. I keep petting her telling her I'll bring Sissy home with me after work.........

Susie I have thrown out all of the plastic bowls I have used with Phenom. She won't be getting kitty acne!! See some good has come out of this! A lot of TCS kitties won't be getting kitty acne because of your experience with Petals!!

Thanks Kenz.......I called about her this morning and she said she was fine, but she had peed on herself over night due to meds she is on. They bathed her (bet she loved that) this morning and they say she is fine and resting, waiting for me to come get her........my poor baby. She's been through so much in the last 24 hours........she's gonna hate me!!!

Poor Petals

Everyone is right Susie! You take wonderful care of those babies. This could have happened to anyone, so please don't beat yourself up any more about it.

I was wondering.. how do they react when one of them has been to the vet? Like Helen mentioned, it might be a bit unsettling at first. I wonder if it might be worth it to get a Feliway plug in to help ease the stress. It would help Miss Petals settle down after the visit, and keep the others from getting too upset... Just a thought

No! She's not gonna hate you! She's gonna love you even more because she's been away from you and missed you dearly! I had NO idea she was in the hospital.... I didn't see this thread till you mentioned it. Lucky would've sent her a get well e-card or something!
And I would've balled the entire time too. I feel bad if I don't get home by 5pm, like she's waiting at daycare or something...
, I even call and ask hubby to leave his job around the corner to run home and feed her. He's like "hun, she's a cat, she's fine, she has dry food, she can wait another 30 minutes" But I still feel so badly. I too use plastic bowls... and will be getting rid of them when I go home! Who knew they caused all of this???

Poor sweet Petals has taught us all a valuable lesson....

Get well soon Petals!!!

Aw, Sooz...sorry your girl had to stay overnight. I know it's upsetting for you and for her sister and brothers, but it means the vet can do a really thorough job, and then keep an eye on her for a bit. And, Sooz...she won't hate you, I promise! She'll be all ready to snuggle. She'll be saying, "Mom, these humans are very nice to me, but please can we go home now? I love you Mom. I missed you." This'll be a long day until you see her, won't it? Hang in there!
