Mike (my husband) received one of those talking/singing trout a few years ago. Oh my! He put it out in his shop where it promptly disentegrated in the cold.

This thread is making me laugh!!!!

We came up with the idea of buying "the tackiest gift ever" at Thanksgiving.
My entire family is searching for something tacky and you all are giving me great ideas.

Hope....your "friend" was rude IMO to do something like that.
I would give her directions to Blockbuster as her gift in return.

So far the Clapper, Chia Pet, Fuzzy dice, and a nose hair trimmer were on my list....we'll see what I decide on...any other ideas? Besides V05.....

My Dad used to love those singing fish - I don't know but I thought a wine glass from my Dad was kind of strange considering I was 13 but what the hey?

That's a good thing you don't like it much, beings that there wasn't that much to like
I don't like it much either if there was 1 piece that would have worked for me

Sorry about not defining Stridex - medicated acne cleansing pads. From my grandmother no less. Dad's side of the family was always a bit "touched".

I think you should get her a rubber wedge doorstop. Just to let her know that it isn't her that has to keep doors open for you.

when i turned 16, i got a gift in the mail (it was from two people but 3 people signed the card) It was my ex bf with his friend who got me a second hand used surfy boy necklace and my other ex had signed the card too...!
I later found out they didnt even pay for the necklace and i was so pissed!!

firstly because they lied
secondly im NOT A SURFY and the necklace was so crap, it broke when i handed it to my mother hahaha

Needless to say all three of them got an earful from me when i called them!

She isn't worth it! Those cost around $15 - way to much money to spend on her.

My Aunt, Uncle and 2 cousins came to my wedding and gave me a $5 bill in an envelope - no card.
