royal canin odour

I have been feeding my kitty with royal canin dry food. But I've noticed that the granuels have a very strong odour to it. The kitten has no problem but the moment i fill her plate with the food the room gets filled up with this very typical stench, which is even worst than the litter..hmm..

Does anyone else has the same problem?

I have not had this problem. You may have a bad bag -- I'd take it back to where you bought it and ask for a replacement. I've been feeding Royal Canin for several years, and have always found it to have much less smell than some other foods.

I've just switched to Royal Canin and I agree that it has less smell than other foods I've used. You should take the bag back, it is probably bad.

I have noticed that the odor is less than other foods, but the odor is very.. distinct, and reminds me a bit of cat sick. but, I think that aroma is helpful to the cat.
