October 15, Notre Dame vs USC!!!

Too bad the Irish lost to Michigan State

or this would be the biggest game of the year by far. I will go out on the limb and pick the Irish to pull the upset off.

It is in South Ben and USC's luck is bound to run out.

I saw Marcus Vick give the WV fans the finger salute, what a punk! Noticed how the media barely talked about it, if he was at UM, it would have been the top story. I hope the canes beat them!

I think USC is very beatable this year, ND is the only team that could beat them, since the Pac 10 sucks!

USC will be playing the best offense they played against in the Irish. Plus Notre Dame is legendary for putting a stop to #1 teams and their championship hopes.

Okay, not totally a football fan, but I still wanted to put my two cents in.

AMY~ As you getting spit on by a vol fan a few years back in band.... I can say the same thing at the SEC championship a couple of years back U of Ark. VS UGA. We had so many people in band get pelted with sugar cubes when we marched in it was crazy. Then I guess they ran out right before halftime, because I personally got loogies spit on me 3 times. Never understood that. We are just the band. I dont make the the points, I just play the fightsong.

And I think of all the low class places I have been, I do have to say, LSU is the absolute worst. (sorry to lsu fans here!) We (the travel band of 44) had to be escorted out by 15 police officers fully armed. The literally formed a circle around us and made us stick together. Apparently one time a fan got ahold of a band member and roughed him up and stole his uniform top (I heard it was georgia but never was confirmed, it was just what the cop said.) so after that the police escorted us to the bathroom and concession stand, they also made a border around us while we played in the stands. I have so many stories about crazy lsu, like the time we played them in LR and they started yelling f-u DURING our alma mater.

Texas was bad too, but hey its texas, they dont like us anyway. I think its some sort of lunchmeat thing.

I am a poud ex-bandie, and I am not really one for the football team (good thing this year huh? ) but I always wish the band the best. I also did color guard in highschool, and twice in drum corps! Props to all the TCS Bandies! We are a special group.

Amy, every single bar in Key West had the Georgia game. I wanted to see the canes game (espnu was showing the game), but they didn't have that channel.

Totally agree with that one!

Arkansas has some bright ones as well. We were the first one that had a streaker. Not exactly bragging rights, but yup, and he became a local star.

People seem to forget sometimes that its just a game, its supposed to be fun, and it seems that the crazy fans take it way to seirously.

Saturday is WVU's homecoming so guess where I'm going to be!! hehe. I'm setting flags again because I'm way too nice. But hey I will be there. We're playing Louisville and both teams are ranked in the top 25. It should be a good game!!

Wow, what a day for College football, so many great endings. Love the way Michigan beat Penn State. The Notre Dame, USC game was a classic...one of the best game I have ever seen. Florida lost and Florida State is losing, and my canes won. What a great day to be a Canes fan.

I can't believe Temple had Miami as a homecoming game

Miami won 34-3. The defense is just nasty, can't wait for the VT game.

the WVU game was an instant classic. down from 17-0 at half time to a 3rd OT win amazing. and a BCS bid (as long as they don't screw up)

My Mounties know off Louisville in a triple overtime thriller. Too bad we had to spot them 24 points... haha!! And my fiance LEF THE GAME AFTER THE 3RD!!! Boy is he kicking himself.

They did not deserve to win that game. But then again Notre Dame shot themselves in the foot a couple of times also. But that fumble that went out bounds proves the Gods are on USC's side.
