It would seem that late August is a good time for most.

Anyone else have any input on times? Or anything else to add about the location? Obviously not everyone is going to be happy with the end decision, but the more people who respond the more Amy can try to accomodate the most people.

What does Labor Day look like for people? It's a 3-day weekend.....school's out....most jobs have the day off......is that a feasible time?

I can probably do Labor Day. My best friend's birthday is the 8th, and Brendan's 21st is the next weekend, so really as long as Lauren doesn't want to have a party the weekend before her actual birthday it should be fine for me.

Sounds good to me. As long as everyone else is cool with it, I'm good to go!!

You would get in trouble doing that in some places here in the states but I'm pretty safe behind my computer in Bristol. They might have some Nascar gangs but other than that there's no gangs here

Nascar gangs
I think they will be too busy moving their heads around the track watching the races. BORING!

I have to agree with my friend who is from New Smyrna Beach....the Gulf is like a big lake. I just prefer the waves of the Atlantic. I'm actually not at all a beach person to begin with, but the traffic to get to the beach and congestion once you're there is not for me.

I really don't like going to parts of the beach where people are allowed to drive on it or where the tourists go. Most of Ormond Beach does not allow beach driving, so you park right next to it and walk up. The only people there are locals and so it's not crowded at all. It's one of the big reasons why I love Ormond so much!!!

I don't want to be too much of an influence because I probably won't know until close to the last minute if I can go or not. We're in a bit of a financial struggle and I'm already planning on a trip to Connecticut in September. Anyway, for what its worth, I'd prefer the Eastside. There would be much more of a chance that I'd be able to make it. New Smyrna and Daytona are great. I'm in Brevard county (Cocoa Beach area).

That would be AWESOME!!!

Labor Day weekend sounds good to me! I'm another one of those people who will know for sure when it comes closer to time, though.

I used to go to Ormond Beach all the time. My best friend's grandmother lived right down the street. Beautiful place. Nice and quiet too. I got my butt kicked by a wave there.... I washed ashore with a bloody nose, sand embedded in my legs, gasping for breath.

Wow!!! That wave really did kick your butt!!! That's neat that you know about Ormond though, most people (even in state) don't know anything about it.

And of course if it's anywhere in Florida you can still have that extra bed at my place you called earlier.
Then, if anyone else claimed the other bed we could have a TCS slumber party!

Well so far it looks like Labor Day weekend would work out pretty well.
People who said they could possibly come: Renee, Lacey, Katie, and Deb.
People definitely coming: Amy, Kelly, and me.

Does that sound about right, or did I miss someone?

Well, if we met in Savannah, we could all go out in Bradley's boat....not quite the same thing, but...

Katherine, I am definitely in like Flint!

oooooh Amy, it would be cool to go out on Bradley's boat. Savannah is cool with me--it's actually more of a "central" location
.

Oh, BTW, Katherine I know Stephanie (Dawnofsierra) is interested in going as well
