Growing up my family had a cat called Kootchie-Kat.

We have no idea where the name came from as my younger sister named him....

My grandpa had a cat he named "Here-Here!" He named him this because instead of saying, Here Kitty Here Kitty!, he just named the cat Here Here to skip the Kitty Kitty in it. "Here Here"

So he thought about it for a min. and came out with "His name is Goose, now we have to keep him."

Goose has been the best cat that I've ever had! He's soooooooooo affectionate, sometimes, it drives me crazy though! It's almost as if he's appreciative that he was resuced.
We have a Goose. Actually her real name is Lucy, but she's been called Goose since she was about 7 weeks old.

Well these might not be that unusual but I think they are pretty neat.....

Gotta tell the story first ... hehe

Our cat Charlie died and my oldest Laynee (5 years old) took it harder than all of us. I asked her "Do you want mommy to look in the paper to find you another kitty that looks like Charlie". She said "Will IT BEEE Charlie, Mommy?"

I said "No" "Charlie is in heaven, there will never be another Charlie". So she looked at me with eyes filled with tears and said "No, its ok mommy, I not ready yet"
It made me sooo sad.

Well about a week later she came to me with the newspaper and said "ok mommy, I ready now"
So I found an ad.. we went to the ladys house and brought home 2 kittys. A brother and a sister (I only went there for one)

She kept throwing all these names at me that didn't make any sence. Finally she said "Mommy, 1 kitty is a boy and the other kitty is a girl, right?" I said "right".She said "ok, well how bout LILO & STITCH"

And I
ed it!!!

So .. my odd names are LILO & STITCH

Lilo is the dark grey (she just had her 1st and last litter of 7 beautiful kittens, 1 died at 2 days old.. RIP Angel.
Stitch is the striped .. he passed about 6 months ago..We
you and miss you STITCHY-WITCHY (muah)

I'd have to say Fenelope is the strangest name out of my cats. My niece who was six at the time named her, I think she was going for "Penelope" but said Fenelope instead, I just call her Fen.
Misdemeanor is strange too, I was telling a friend I didn't know what to name her she suggested I name her after my favourite singer. I was listening to a song by Missy Elliott at the time, so Misdemeanor is was.
Kohaku, Kegome, & Chihiro are different but if I were in Japan those names wouldn't be too unusual.
My two former cats were Mao (Chinese for "cat") & Bones.

I have a cat named Saudi, one named Ta, one named Ladybug, one named Clover, one named Cham and one named Chaucer. Saudi was already named when I got him back in 1992. Ta was named by my daughter from some anime character or something and I named the others. The others have kind of ordinary names.

My sister-in-law used to have a Chaucer -- he was a VERY lovely boy, gone to the Bridge ,mmmmm, maybe as much as ten years ago, but I remember him very fondly.
