I went for a nice walk with my neighbor tonight.
It was lovely outside! Earlier today we went tanning and boy oh boy its been a looooong time since I've seen myself nude in front of a mirror.
But the tanning bed felt GREAT! Ooo and I also got off that gosh awful birth control patch!!! Thank goodness. I have SPOTS on my body from that darned thing. It changed my skin pigment!!! UGH

My personal estimate is about 2.5 hours....
Probably about three hours a week, at the moment.

Wow, way to go Sam!

Beth, tanning sounds like such a luxury. I'm hopefully going to go to the tanning bed this Saturday to get my "pre-tan" before hitting the beach. Glad you went for a walk. Great way of getting exercise outside of the gym!

I went to Curves yesterday. I was so tired and lethargic and what they say is true- working out gives you MORE energy. I highly recomment exercise for anyone who is having an especially exhausting day!

I haven't checked into the thread in quite a while but I've been a good, good girl and have been running my 5 miles at least 4 times a week. Even with all of the moving, painting, cleaning and kitties!!! I'm thinking of starting on free weights. Bikini season IS almost here, you know.

I did some errands after work and then when I came home the person we hired to do some heavy duty yard work was digging out the tree stumps so I had to watch for a while. We had 4 really big ones dug up and in another area about 7 or 8 more. He came within less than a yard of sheba's grave!!! Then it started to rain so I did the treadmill instead and only 2.19 miles as it was 7:30 when I started.
I celebrated with a glass of wine afterwards.

Oh Gail, I bet that almost gave you a heart attack, with the landscaper getting so close to Sheba's grave! Way to continue on with an indoors workout. Celebrating with a bit of wine never hurt either!

Dang Kelly.....sounds like you don't even NEED this thread for motivation, but thank you for stopping in anyway
You are definitely a cardio queen! Way to go

I did the Curves thing for the last 2 nights. I'm skipping tonight, but plan on going Thurs & Fri. Curves had a Mary Kay representative selling products with 25% going to the American Cancer Society. I bought a body lotion called "Velocity." It smells great.

Bikini season has already been here for about a month! I've been laying out as much as possible to get a kickstart on a great tan! Tanning beds are definitely not for me, never even been to one!!

It's so amusing though to witness the trends in my fitness classes. The semester always starts off strong with a good number of people, then dwindles, suddenly a week before Spring Break the numbers spike way up again (yeah, a little late don't ya think?), then die out and suddenly pick up once again right before the end of the semester (like right now). I can't help but laugh because I wonder if these people really think they're going to make a difference in how they look by coming ONE week before they hit the beach??? It's a big joke amongst all of us aerobics instructors.

Fwan,
How do you like your stepper? Does it tell how far you "stepped?" I had a Healthrider (actually some other brand - don't remember which) that would show minutes and miles. I gave it away when it turned into a clothesrack.
I might have used it more, but we have such a teeny apartment I had to drag it out to use it. Are you able to keep your stair stepper out in the open?

well as i have a tiny appartment also thats why i got the stepper?
i have mine that is nexto my bed and infront of the couch which is infront of the tv! i moved one couch to the computer so i can sit more confortably so now it looks like i have more space in the room?

actually i dont know? but i did 300 steps the other day? or maybe it was metres? but it counts only when you hit the thing with your right foot... if that makes sense?
also it can count your calories, and it has a timer too i really do like it but it really hurts the back of my legs after 5 mins
so each time i use it i add one more minute

Well YOU guys aren't like those people! That's why I said it!! You all actually do a great job of setting up a routine and sticking with it, instead of saying "hey, spring break is next week, I should go to one aerobics class and then nothing else so i will look good in a bikini"!

i have my 'date' at the gym this afternoon with my trainer. I almost forgot!!

I have never been tanning. But I think maybe I should try it. My legs are soooo white. I didn't really notice until I put on a short skirt for work today. ugh. how many sessions do you need to really see a difference?

Sounds like a nice piece of equipment. In front of the TV is a great place! I have such a short attention span, the distraction would help a lot!
As far as Teufel's cat tree - glad you have room for that. We made room for Oliver's too! (Tripod doesn't climb on it).
