Hmmmm question: If there is one thing you think needs inventing - what is it?
A thing that needs inventing...Hmmmm. Let me think With so many new things already on the market. I think we need to invent real robots who can do our chores, do as we command them to do. We don't have to pay them or provide for them. Computer operated robots.

Question: What kind of car do you least like and what kind do you trust the most?
Beatles!!! Hackptwewy!! I spit on you!!! Sorry but I DESTEST Beatles in their old form or new form!! ick ick ick.....Hmmmm as for cars I like/trust...I have no idea cos I don't drive!! ha ha ha ha, I do love the new minis though....and the Impreza Turbo...vrooooom!! heh heh

Ok, easy question: Gold or Silver jewellery?
I prefer silver (isn't that odd? lol) but I am allergic to nickel - can't even wear hypo-allergenic or surgical steel or any of that stuff - so it's gold gold gold for me!

Oh, and in response to that question about what we are proud of . . . I don't know if that's the kind of thing a person can answer about herself without sounding, smug? conceited? I mean, "I'm so proud of the time I selflessly did this amazing thing for a complete stranger" is just so . . . full of yourself, you know?

Let's see, a question . . . If you could climb up on Santa's lap and ask him for anything, what is the one thing you would ask him to give you for Christmas?
I would ask Santa for an awesome relationship with my whole family. I have a lot of family issues. The only family I have a close relationship with is my father, stepmother, my stepmothers family (also my family) and my former stepmother. I have much more family than this (mother, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins) but I don't have a good relationship with any of them.

If you reflect back on your childhood, is there anything different that you wish your parents would have done?
The one thing I wish my parents had done is to have had another child. I'm an only child and at times it was lonely. I'm so envious of people who have siblings, I'll never get to experience that unique relationship.

Q-What type of cat do you consider most beautiful (a specific breed or color in the case of mixed breeds)?
Oh I don't know...there are so many beautiful breeds of cats out there!!! I love Persians! They are so pretty, and I also love Bengals (especially after seeing Nitcrawlers pics) and I love yellow cats, and pure white cats.

Q: What is your favorite breed of dog?
That is an easy one for me - Shepards!

now.....what is your favorite Jeopardy category!
Rock and Roll!!!! :tounge2:

Q: Did you ever fix a meal for company and totally screw it up? If so...how???
No, no one likes to come over my house cause I eat the same thing day in and day out!:LOL:

Have you ever skinny dipped and with who and what did you do and.....j/k!

Real Question: Have you ever been streaking?
I personally have not streaked, but a good friend of mine from back in the '70s once streaked through a radio station! Also, I saw a streaker at a college football game back in the '70s. In those days, only modesty kept me from streaking; whereas today, concerns about visual pollution would enter into the sordid picture.

If you were asked to do so, would you — and your immediate family if you have one — live in a colony on Mars for a few years? (Bear in mind it's six months there and six months back. Tiny space suits would be provided for your companion animals.)

A: Sign me up! (and I'm sure several of you will be there to see me off)

Q: What's your most likely fast food stop?
Subway!! Yummy...I love their veggie subs with lots of hot peppers!!!

Q- how old were you when you stopped believeing in Santa? (or maybe you still do !?? )
If you don't believe, you don't receive!

what is your favorite dessert?
Cheesecake, especially with blueberry sauce and whipped cream I love it so much, but its so bad for me!

Q- whats your favorite Family Christmas Tradition?
To answer the last few questions....

My favorite cut of meat is T-bone (med. rare) and my favorite desert is the New York cheesecake I make, that I top with black-raspberry sauce (I pick black raspberries in the ditches, that are growing wild, and then I cook them with sugar and can them in pint jars, to use for cheesecake topping) it is heavenly.

My favorite family Christmas tradition is one that my husband and I started with the kids where we have a night that we decorate the tree, and afterwards, we drink hot chocolate with marshmellows!

Question: What is your favorite kind of Christmas candy?
Thread Starter
I don't know if this counts as 'candy' but every X-mas my mom would make Mexican wedding cakes. Tastewise they weren't my favorites at the time, but now because of the sentimental value they are. They will always remind me of my mom and how she used to really work hard to make the holiday special.

Do you collect anything?
Well I collect Boyd's bears....I have around 100 of the resin figurines, and about 30 of the stuffed. I just LOVE Boyd's!!!

Question: Which is your favorite month, and why?

I love May, because I love the feel of Spring. Everything feels brandnew. The weather is perfect (at least where I live) because it's not too hot and not too cold. The last couple of Aprils have had their share of cold days and it doesn't seem to really feel like spring until May.

What was the last movie you saw? And would your recommend it?
The last film I saw in the cinema was Dancer in the Dark (2000), directed by Lar von Trier and starring Björk Guðmundsdóttir. And yes, I highly recommend it! Mind, it's sad though.

The last film I saw at home (on digital video-disk) was 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), directed by Stanley Kubrick and starring Keir Dullea. Although it's my all-time favorite film in its genre, I believe the only way to properly view that film is in Cinerama — as it was originally produced.

What would you tell Secretary of State Colin Powell should he stop by and ask your advice about foreign policy?

To be nice to them, and also to ask someone who is smarter than me, and more up on current affairs, for advice!!! (sorry, not good with politics)

Question: What would you do if one of your cats that you love suddenly got a really bad attitude?
I'd try to figure out what caused the change in attitude, and see what could be done to make it right again.
My Lily (Little Miss Love Me NOW!) has becom pretty cool and detached since getting spayed Tuesday, I hope its just because she's adjusting, but she's not the same kitty as before. I still adore her though, and the moments when she's "lovey dovey" are all the more special!

What one aroma/scent/odor can take you back to your childhood every time you smell it?
The smell of cooked lobster My dad was, and still is, a Lobster Fisherman and we ate them all the time when I was growing up. Everytime I smell them now I am reminded of cozy dinners with my parents (I am an only child) and each of us telling the others about our day...wonderful memories

Q-Are you a 'morning person', or does it take lots of coffee to get you going each day?
A: I am a night person by nature, but a morning person due to necessity. (Getting up at 5:00 a.m. for work daily will do that to you). But on all breaks from school, I revert back to being up to all hours. It makes for a horrible first day back.

Q: What quiz or reality show would you most like to be a contestant on?
Wheel of Fortune!

What is the luckiest thing that has ever happened to you?
Getting pregnant. I've had doctors tell me for years that it wouldn't happen without big medical intervention and instead it was a surprise. Changed us from a couple to a family, and of course we think she is the most wonderful child ever!

Also, having a child, the smell that brings me back to my childhood is Crayola crayons and Play-doh. Has to be those brands, though, so they must use a particular formula.

What is one trait about yourself, not appearance related, that you really like?
Thread Starter
I think that losing my mom and watching her die painfully and slowly has made me a better person. I'm more considerate to others, more sympathic. I think I'm all around nicer. My feelings are closer to the surface than they were and I think I have a better understanding of what makes people tick. Not that I wouldn't want my mom back in a heartbeat, and be a lesser person for it.

I just think that personal tradegy sometimes gives you a depth and an outlook that can't be achieved any other way. And that tradegy doesn't have to be a death of a loved one, it comes in many shapes and sizes unfortunately.

so the thing I like most about myself is that I have depth.
oh ya, I also like that I'm just plain silly and can laugh at myself. I think it's important to be able to see your mistakes and not only learn from them, but laugh at them as well.

what was the best gift you ever got?
That is an easy one! A new vacuum cleaner from hubby!

Now.........favorite flavor of ice cream?
French Vanilla with a couple of dollops of orange sherbert on top...mmmmm just like a creamsicle

Okay question: If you won a dream vacation package to anywhere in the world with the celebrity dream date of your choice, where would you go, with whom, and why?
