Cevapcici with ajvar and djuvec rice (the latter made with "Maggi fix"). I was in the mood for Yugoslav. For those of you not familiar with those dishes, cevapcici are little "sausages" made of ground meat, ajvar is a type of paste made of sweet and hot peppers and egg plant/aubergine, and djuvec rice is made with tomatoes, paprika and onions.

I dunno, but I am stuck here on campus for another 1 1/2 or so, so I have a little time to think about it. I'm really not sure,,I think I will try a recipe for cheddar baked chicken that I found,,super super easy!!

Man Fran, you always have something good cooking! Want to make a special trip to GA and prepare some meals for me?

We're expecting a cool snap this evening, so tonight may be chili con carne night.

MMMMHHH! Would you believe I couldn't find ricotta when I first moved here (now I can, but not in my town)? I had to use quark or "Schichtkäse" as a substitute.

We don't have a WalMart around here - I have to go to Kaufhof Galeria to get the fancy stuff.

Some of you are having some good stuff, so no one will be envious of me. Tonight I don't feel like cooking, so I'm going to have a can of Chunky Soup.

Nothing wrong with that. When I crave something, it's usually soup (I hoard tomato soup, which drives hubby crazy. "Do you realize that you have 25 cans of Campbell's tomato soup, 3 lbs. of frozen tomato soup, and three boxes of powdered tomato soup?"). At least he doesn't count the cans of tuna (generally 5 or 6)!
He missed the 13 liters of juiced tomatoes left over from last summer's crop in Saturday's tirade!

I got some beefsteak tomatoes at the flea market yesterday CHEAP, so I think I'll make marinara sauce and have either spagetti or stuffed shells. I've got one of those Caesar salads in a bag
(everything included-love it!) and fresh cauliflower to go with it.
