It is a wonderful idea! I would love to meet all my wonderful TCS friends! But.... its alittle dangerous for me....
Plus it would be hard to fly al the way over...
Sorry.... Maybe we can role-paly it.
It would be splendid if we could though!

Carrie.... I think we would need volunteers to start off.... I think though first we have to see what Anne and MA and everyone else thinks, and what plans they have etc. etc.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
Even if it's planned for 2006?.

I know it seems an age away but just look at how quick this year is going already!.

That way theres plenty planning/saving time for everyone because we would have to sort out accommodations, dates, and where to hold the place of meeting everyone.

I can see me walking through the airport terminal now with my babies pics on a t-shirt with "Rosie and Sophies Mum underneath

But this can be done!

2006 that gives me enough time to put in my vacation request.
I think this is a great idea and hope it we can make it happen. It would be nice to spend sometime with cat people and get to brag about my babies.

I'm in Long Island, NY.

Hissy, I am so glad to hear how this has been a dream of Anne's and yours. I have also thought it would be a great idea.

Cougar, knowing your age and gender, I'm glad that I don't have to pay your insurance premiums!

2006? let's see, Dan would be 2-3 years old (depending on the month) and Ron would be 4-5. Old enough for a trans-atlantic flight I think

Yeah, I got quoted for a 97 Eclipse GSX, and with full coverage it turns out to be ~3400 per year. Thats kind of rich for me
As long as I can find a job that pays well, Im still going to get one though.
So if this meet does happen, what would we be doing? Just hang out and talk?

Peace,
Brandon

This is great! I thought I would get laughed off the boards when I posted this thread. Where does Speed Racer live? He can transport!
ok here's another idea, that is, we have hundreds of members who would attend either a national or regional cat-meet and every single one of us has a talent or something we are good at doing. We've got skills, brains, brawn, and talent in many areas. So when it's time, let's make a TASK LIST and either regional or nationally people can sign up for what they do best. We'll need all kinds of stuff done. If this is a tailgate type of things or more formalized barn-bustin' BBQ then that needs to be coordinated, cars need to be parked and many logistics need to be figured out, games, contests, party-favors, you name it. Not too much, but enough. If organization is done at the ground level, it will work. And media! We gotta get our kitties to the media. They can have the polaroids off my body and put'em on the news!! yeah baby!!
