Well...I got here.  Very late today.  I had outpatient surgery this morning to remove three cysts on my head.  No big deal, but BOY did it eat up my day!  Up early, got home about 3.  MUST go and eat now...

As you can see, we've been waiting for you for over five hours now!
Glad to know the outpatient surgery is over and done with and that it went well.

Spent my day at jury duty selection. Now I am in jury limbo - in the 2nd group of 160 prospective jurors.  We have to call each evening to see if we have to go in or if we are done with jury duty for the year.  If I am on the jury the trial will be 4 - 5 weeks long.

Gerry was stuck in the kitten room all morning until I got home around 1.  I didn't want to leave her out without someone nearby.  Fluffy is a 'mean' girl and brings out her paws of death every morning and evening.  Yesterday she and Gerry were laying next to each other in the mesh tent with no problems, then a couple hours later Fluffy was stalking and chasing Gerry.

Okay @Tallyollyopia, you've had a day to recover from a month of over working.  It's time to stop slacking off and post the next installment of Magic School and Egg.
(Just kidding - sorta)

Getting an early start to Thursday morning; or you can say I am up very late on Wednesday night!!

I watch the ACM (American Country Music Awards) tonight. It was a 50th anniversary special edition of it. I comply loved it! It was so good, at least for me, to see them acknowledge, and revive the 'old' classics and salute the pioneers of Country music..

I grew up on this music; it is a forgotten venue..it was so good to be able to enjoy these songs and performers.. yes, the ones who are still with us are aged but the memories they evoke are so special...I had tears in my eyes a coupe of times.. A performer, Randy Travis, who suffered a depilating stork a few years ago, was able to at least get on stage, hold a microphone and say the last words to one of his classic songs. The word was, "Amen".. yes, both myself and the audience, all had teary eyes...This was a man in his prime, who was stricken with this debilitating stroke..it was so heartwarming and yet bittersweet to see him on stage after all this time...

I thoroughly enjoyed this program...

I always feel that when this ACM program is at it's best, it is an early b-day gift to me; meaning that I treat myself to an enjoying 3 hours of TV...

Ok, gotta get sleepy..

Artie is nibbling again... wondering what is going on with the World Series...Go Cubs....from a life long Red Sox Fan...

Placed a new order from my fave coffee company today! it's the little things in life.

The Dragon's Breath is pretty much everything. If you are a coffee love, give this stuff a try. http://greendragonroasters.com/coll...th?variant=4705391941#shopify-product-reviews
I knocked over my deep fryer (it wasn't on, thank God) and spilled oil all over my kitchen floor.  That was a load of fun to clean up *sarcasm* and I think there's still a film but I gave up for the moment and plopped down with the laptop feeling very irritable and frustrated and saw this post and impulse bought two 11oz bags because one was $11 and free shipping for orders over $20.  LOL  Hope it's good!

Eat, sleep, and relax.  Even outpatient surgeries kinda stink.

That's what I usually get also. 2 bags of Dragon's Breath. I like it a lot. I hope you do too. They have pretty fast shipping and they add some kind of freebie into each box. I have gotten a measuring spoon, books of matches and little pencils with their logo on it. I use the measuring spoon every day.

Fireworks went off last night in Naperville. You could hear them popping all over town. The cats got excited, too, with the noise. Ears twitching this way and that.

Go, Cubs!

I fell asleep - stupid flu! Woke up twice, once to the rain delay, and the second time was to the very last play. I could tell it was over and there was a celebration, but my glasses were off and the sound was down. Got up expecting to be disappointed. But that didn't happen.

And to any Cleveland fans reading this... those guys kicked some serious arse!

Lilith and Henry were actually snuggling the other night. She was laying next to me on the bed and he came up and laid down next to her. Usually if he tries to get in between us, he gets in trouble with her. I guess she decided that he wasn't TOO close to me that it was acceptable. I heard extra loud purring and looked up from my book to see him with his head on her shoulder. They were both purring. Of course as soon as I grabbed my phone to take a picture they moved but it was adorable. They have spent time together but never actually touching. Lily got lots of praise for being such a good friend to Brother.

How cool is that?  My best friend here in NC is a transplanted Southie.

Thanks to all of you who expressed concern.  I feel totally fine today, other than the occasional mild itching at the incision sites, and minor tenderness when I actually touch my scalp.  So...I'm not touching my scalp where they cut it.  I could have washed my hair today, but have opted to wait until tomorrow just for extra safety.  I  have to say, I look very strange to myself in the mirror.  I had gotten used to those two "horns" sticking up out of my hair!

Congratulations to all the Cubs fans.  I'm really not much of a sports fan.  I say the occasional "Go Cardinals" or "Go Chiefs" just because I'm a Missourian but I pay very little attention.

John told me it better not taste like any coffee he can get at the store around here since I paid $1 an ounce for it and no one in their right mind would pay $1 an ounce for coffee.  I told him to go suck an egg cuz he impulse buys video games and asked when I ever claimed to be in my right mind and he said, "Yeah, the last time I did that, I got 2 games for $8" so I told him to bite me.  Hehe

I actually did not hear any fireworks over here last night. I was not feeling well and took some medicine. I must have slept through them. Hubby told me he only heard fire works here briefly. He said the cats did not seem to care and were acting normal.
