Eep, so possibly sometime tomorrow! Lots of flutters coming from her belly, I think the kittens are impatient to be out.

I've had my hand on her belly and they feel like rippling prods over multiple small surface areas, so they're not much different from the kitten movement I've been feeling the past few weeks.. Are early contractions more like all over rigidity?

Poor Skye must think I'm a huge creep since I'm constantly staring at her belly and shining a torch up her bum, lol.

Early contractions can be more like what you describe. As they get stronger, it looks more like full belly ripples. And stage one labor can last up to 24 hours.

Ok, I'll keep an eye on her through the night then.

No new developments apart from Skye reverting to her old habit of clambering onto my chest during the night and purring loud enough to wake the household. She's currently rolled out on the porch floor, I think it's nice and cool for her. We got last minute supplies into the house today and are ready for a weekend of watchful waiting.

It's great you have supplies in the house now. Waiting is all you can do unless she's in distress! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

We already had plenty supplies but the thought of pending labour spurred some panic purchases, haha. You can never have too many towels, right?

Still no kittens. Should I be worried about the discharge I saw on Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon? It's now Saturday evening and there's been nothing since. Skye has been a little clingier today - she's climbed into my lap several times and seems to be seeking sources of heat, unlike yesterday when she was laying flat out on cold floors. Apart from a little bit of lacklustre scraping at one of her beds there's been no nesting behaviour. Today is day 63. *twiddles thumbs*

No, I think she is fine. Average pregnancy is 65 days. Many go 68. And since there's no more discharge, I think there's no cause for alarm.

Skye has been very clingy today and I've noticed that there is a very pronounced kitten-like lump right under her nipples facing towards her back end. Does this mean they're moving into position for birth? That particular lump doesn't really move but there's still flutters on both of her sides.

Here's some belly wiggle for viewing enjoyment :)

Oh god ok so her water broke. Puddle of rusty fluid with a snotty plug of mucus. Took her through and She clambered into my lap. Lots of mewing. It's happening.

So shes having about 4 or 5 contractions in a row then a rests for a few minutes. There's a head in its sac peeking out but then goes back in as the contraction eases. Normal?

1st kitten is out, squeaking and getting his/her first bath! Breach birth but Skye handled it like a champ.
