That sounds fine, but he needs to be eating frequently.  Small meals hourly, I would say.  He must get calories.

can any 1 suggest what to feed a kitten to gain weight?
The advices depends in part, 1.  Where you are - what country?  [OK, I see its  South Africa]

2. What are you giving currently, because it seems to not be enough?

3. Has the kitten been dewormed?

4.  Please give us more data on the kitten, its actual weigh?   A photo is mostly welcomed too.

But a good tip is egg yolk, may be raw.  You may add it  to almost anything, easy digestible and lotsa of fats and nutrients.  IF you have any problems with salomonella in eggs at your place, you can scramble or boil this egg.  Cooked, you can have the egg white too. Lotsa of proteins.   Cooked its not as extremely digestible as raw yolk, but the nutrient contents are essentielly the same.

Which Royal Canin?  RC Baby cat is prob the best.

I think we wrote earlier.  How was it, can you get raw goats milk?   This is always excellent (providing the goats gets decent food, and the whole milking procedure is done hygienically, of course...).

That would be my advice.   Not enough for complete happiness, but a good  ground to step on and build further on.

In another thread we could see also other milk sources should be OK, someone used raw buffalo milk on an infant with good results.  Sheeps milk should be OK.  Even raw, unpasteurized cow milk may be OK, esp if its a cow breed of an old type.  But observe we do have still Red flag on pasturized, processed milk from modern high producing cows.

Maybe, if he likes the goat milk, you could mix a little bit with his food to see if that will get him to eat it. At least until he gets his appetite back. This breaks my heart to think of the little guy sick. I wish I could do more to help. Call your local humane society and ask if there are groups in your area that will help with vet expenses.
I did call aspa they refused to help they said they will put him down

He is not just dehydrated. He is also starving, and he needs frequent feedings of small meals in order to survive.

Please listen to talkingpeanut talkingpeanut you must get some food in him. Even if its just a spoonful every hour . He needs nutrition to get better. He'll continue downward without food. I feel so bad for you both . Wish I were there to help.

How's the little guy doing? He needs to eat and drink to stay hydrated and get better. You must let him eat the food he needs now. It has been long enough. He should be able to hold all of his food now. Please give him healthy portions. If he eats one teaspoon and wants more, please give it to him.

no such groups here
I see its not the question of what to do to fatten him up, but the question is how to save the life itself.  Its a Red Alert situation...

Small portions but often as the others said...  Around the clock if possible.

Also, when desperate enough, even the non observant use to beg help from the Above.  So do I, so do most others.

You do direct your prayers to the Lord.

But sometimes it helps to have intermediates.  My suggestion at this moment would be Rademenes, the nurse cat from a vet clinic in Bialystok in Poland.

Himself admitted for pts because of a skin disease.  The vets decided to try and heal him.  In wain!  But the day for the Last Injection, it turned... and he become healthy.  So they adopted him.

Since that time, he is working and helping with nursing their animal patients.  Holds the visiting cats and dogs company helping to calming them.  Lies down with them warming them up after the surgeryies, licking them, giving them the warmth of his body, heart and soul.

If he were a human active in the catholic church life, he would be declared as candidate for saint for less.

I myself Im no catholic, and thus, I can put my vote on anyone worthy.

Its my belief this black cat Rademenes is a true saint of God,  and prayers in his name, may thus become true.

I am seriously shocked your vet vaccinated your kitten in the state that he is in. Kittens should never be vaccinated when in a weak state, as it will lower their immune systems even more and can cause serious issues.

I see a lot of good comments above, but I also want to mention that you need to make sure that you don't feed the kitten different kinds of food all the time. Pick one kind (wet food) and stick with it as the constant change in diet will cause more diarrhea and your kitten can not handle much more. If the kitten is not eating or drinking, it's important that you get it inside somehow. I usually use a seringe to get some water in the kitten's mouth (but be careful, as they can inhale it and cause more problems) and I also give very sick kittens A/D (as mentioned before) which can really help in dire situations. This is very soft and can also be put in a bigger seringe to force feed.

If the kitten is not eating well or drinking or can't keep it inside, please go to a vet (and preferred another than you used before). It sounds like hell for the kitten, and despite your  good efforts, you can't fix everything with food and water unfortunately. I think this kitten has more issues than we see or can tell. I'm very sorry. I will pray for a good ending, I really will. The kitten deserves a good life, thank you for all your effort for the little one.

Oh thank God. I've been praying for him and I know others are as well. Keep up the good work. You're doing great. Please keep us posted. Also, please find another vet if you're able. The others are right, he should have never vaccinated your baby when he wasn't healthy. My vet had me wait a whole year before vaccinating one of my cats, because she was having allergy issues. My cats are indoor only and it wasn't worth the risk. Keep up the good work. I'm happy he has you.

See if you can up the quantity as he gets stronger too. 2ml is hardly anything for a 10-week-old. Feeding every hour is great, and I'm thrilled to hear he's keeping it down.

Yes, more food absolutely. Much more.

It's very important that you give him his antibiotics now too. Give them on time and finish the prescription.

Then he should be eating more! Keep feeding every hour and maybe double the amount per feeding as a start.
