Been thinking about that myself.  I'm so mortally tired of scooping 3 times a day to keep Her Royal Catness happy!

GOOD to know.  I'll make a note of that.

So your boy is climbing your pants leg now, huh?  ~GRIN~  My neighbor in Chattanooga had a kitten that did that so much the first three days they had him, that they named  him "Fanny Pack."

Well its the start of week 6.
He weighs 586oz. His eyes are turning green and hes taking in about 35ml of kmr 4 times a day.
Im a little concerned that hes no longer eating any solid food. I have no longer been seeing any tiny poop. But hes peeing in the box regularly which is awesome and him and my current cats are starting to get along!

His weight is good! It's awesome that your cats are starting to accept him too. He'll go back to eating solids. Don't worry! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I got some action shots of him playing with some toys.

Is there anyway i can speed up him switching to solids?

Is he not eating his solids at all still?

When he's hungry you can offer him his mushy wet food first before offering the bottle. And maybe give him less milk in his bottle, so he's hungry for the kibble and wet food.

He'll be 6 weeks old tomorrow, so he's still in the weaning stage until around 8 weeks. Most kittens with a mom continue to nurse a couple times a day for 12 weeks, even after starting solids.

I just don't want him to lose weight, since he's been doing so well, but taking him to the food bowl first may help. He really will get there in the next couple of weeks! He's still a baby.

Does he like the food you are giving him? What brand wet food are you using?

The pictures are super cute!

Im not sure if hes getting solid or not, i was trying to give him gerber turkey but he would never take it. But there for awhile he was having solid little stools but i havent seen any in about a week.
He is getting purina one cat chow. And he was getting FF classics wet, but my mother said it was making the mommas poop smell so i started to get sheba wet

Have you seen Jasper eat the Sheba wet food or the kitten chow? Have you mixed in some KMR?

Worming mom with a drontal plus tablet from the vet will help the smelly poop. Give one tablet two weeks apart to mom.

I haven't mixed it with KMR. How much should i ass to the KMR?

and we wormed mom for tapeworms a few weeks ago and are no actually in the process of worming for round worms. But im pretty sure rhe smelly poop was from the extremely cheap litter my mother had bought. Lately ive been buying the litter and food but my mom bought it the litter lasttime and it was pretty bad hahaha

Add about a quarter of a cup of KMR to the wet food to make it mushy. I'll bet Jasper will like it since he loves his milk bottle!

Cat poop does smell, so a good litter helps!

Do they like the Sheba in general?

When you treat for tapeworms you need to give a 2nd dose about 2 weeks after the first to kill the worms who hatched after the first dose.  You probably did that since you are on top of things, but just in case.

The best inexpensive litter I've found is Fresh Result from WalMart.  Controls odor very well, but it is a clumping litter and should not be used around kittens.  Like human babies, they put everything in their mouths, and clumping litter can be fatal for kittens if ingested.  Just keep it in mind for later on.  It is corn based, and actually smells like air freshener!  One visitor asked what freshener I used, and where I got it, and was shocked when I told her it was my cat litter, which had just been changed.

BTW, that shot of him with that precious tail curled over his back will keep me smiling for hours!

@HelloMissKitty, have you ever seen such a cute thing in your entire, whole life?  (my fellow kitten tail addict)

Yup, im good on the follow or treatment for tapeworms. As far as the litter ive been using scoop away clean as a recommendation from some other ppl on this forum, but like i said, my mom bought it last time and she just grabbed something cheap haha.

And i actually just cleaned the litter box again and learned that jasper has no chill when it comes to kicking the litter over his poop/pee. He was flinging it EVERYWHERE!
But he did poop again and it was a solid formed brown poo. But Sauther made a good point, ive never actually seen him eat solid food

So i was about 2 hours late getting to feed jasper today (im coming down with something). And my mother said he was trying to suckle of off his momma and she freaked out. She was meowing in like a mean way and kept hitting him with ber paw. Is that normal behavior? Im thinking shes pushing him away now

Yep, she's weaning him! I always feel sorry for kittens when moms close the milk bar. Jasper needs to learn how to come and get you! ;)

Hope you feel better soon!
