Have you guys ever made pecan pancakes? My dad used to make pancakes every Sunday and the pecan ones were one of my favorites.

I've put pecans and almonds in my pancakes and they are truly, wonderfully delicious. I get sick from them cause I eat so many!

Hey. My post says 1000. So that's something great even if I'm not the actual 1000th post. This is exciting!
Are you post #1000 or am I? Because I thought we were going by the post numbers.

I was the 1000th reply, but your post was the 1000th post.

Now I want pancakes!  I can't really have any because I am supposed to be Gluten Free, but have been able to have some wheat once in a while without dire consequences.  I love McDonald's pancakes.  I have a hard time making them myself.

I LOVE making pancakes! My favorite kind of pancakes to make are apple-cinnamon pancakes! I usually just mix a tablespoon of cinnamon into my pancake batter, cut up a few apples (honeycrisp apples are the best) into small chunks, melt some butter in a skillet, and fry the apples in a little cinnamon sugar, then pour over the top of your pancakes, add butter and syrup and you've got some truly delicious pancakes!

Oh my gosh. Stop talking about pancakes. My stomach is growling for them and I just had dinner an hour ago. You guys are cruel. Looks like I'm going to be making pancakes in the morning. If I can hold out that long.

Now I'm super confused. I'll just celebrate the fact that we finally made to 1000. Now on to the next phase!!!

I'm so confused now.
I was just pointing out the fact that the first post in any thread is post #1 but the 2nd post is the first reply. So post #1001 is the 1000th reply. But I am assuming that we are going by the post numbers so I believe that Rhondalee is the winner.

It is the 1000th post that is the winner.  Unless that post doesn't meet the requirements; i.e. under 15 words, gibberish . . .

The last time I made pancakes, I had the youngest tasting them and telling me if they were cooked or not.  By the time I gave up he was full and the rest of us went out. LOL

Sooo, after my rant of telling you guys you are cruel for talking about pancakes and making me hungry for them, I went and ate some chips with dip. Lol

I have no experience with baking, other than a few cakes. But you just made me crave Banana bread haha. That sounds delicious!
Hey, don't knock the cakes. They're harder to make than they look. (And so are pies. It is really hard to get a good crust on a pie...)

I love banana bread.  Especially when it's crisp on top.  Do you put walnuts in yours?
No, several people in my family are allergic to nuts (of all kinds), so I avoid putting them in food. Or even having them in the house. (Same with onions, garlic--and you just try making a good spaghetti sauce without them!)
So who won? Is there going to have to be some figuring out done because of mistakes? As in not enough words, or consecutive posts.
I think you won. You're post 1000. Congrats!

A nut allergy would be just terrible. I love all kinds if nuts. They enhance the flavor and texture if soooo many dishes. I feel bad for everyone who can't eat them.

Carrot must think that puzzle looks too easy for you @NewYork1303  and is trying to set up some trick missing pieces to slow down your finishing it.

At last!   We made it past 1000 posts!    That seemed to take for ever the last couple of days and then all of a sudden tonight things raced along when I was off line for a bit.   I'm afraid you'll have to wait for Anne to come along to confirm who will be awarded the 1000th post prize but who ever it is it has been well earned.
Keep babbling everyone - it's 2 am here and I really need to get some sleep tonight so will have to leave you all to it and check back once daylight has returned to see how far we have progressed.
