Well, it sounds like things are progressing quite normally though. 65 days is the average. My cat went 68 days. You can't rush Mother Nature! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Yep, slowly but surely. I keep finding single drops of liquid on the leather sofa where she is laying, after she has got up or moved position. Is that normal? With her being long haired, her rear end doesnt look particularly damp, but then she is cleaning it alot. X

Discharge is normal. Is it clear or pinkish? It means she's getting really close. Has she dropped yet?

Im not sure as my sofa is a reddish brown colour anyway :lol3: when i wipe it, it looks slightly pink. She dropped a couple of days ago and i have felt some tightenings when giving her a belly rub but nothing that seems to bother her and definately not regular. X

It sounds normal to me. She should give birth soon if she dropped already. I'm guessing sometime over the weekend from your description.

Day 65... Were getting ever closer. Megs barely slept today, for queen of sleep thats unusual! Lots of contractions this afternoon but none that seem to cause her pain, just discomfort as her tail is twitching each time. Her rear end seems to be swollen/puffy and she isnt eating as much as usual. Lets hope tonight is the night.

Aww just been reading the posts, I was looking because I'm in the same boat lol

I took a queen in yesterday, a RSPCA cat, just been told that labour could start anytime! Not done this before and she might be moved back to the RSPCA place to have them but for now I'm getting prepared.

All your info is very helpful. Look forward to hearing more about Meg.

Shes been very restless this evening, up and down, tossing and turning and sticking her rear end in the air. Her breathing has got slightly heavier and faster in the last half hr lying next to me in bed. I think were getting close. Will be a long night of worrying i think! X

First take a deep breathe you have to be calm if you show her in any way that your nervous of worried she will also be nervous of worried. Ive seen a cat refused to give birth because she was nervous. You have to give her space and try not to touch the kittens when they freshly come out. If your scent is on them she will reject them. i hope everything turns out okay and keep us updated! :)

House cats do not generally reject their kittens if they are handled to be weighed in front of mom! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Its currently 1.45am here, Megs just came and woke me up in bed. She is having lots of rippling contractions now. I stupidly got out of bed to get a towel and blanket from the drawer to protect the mattress and she has dived under the bed! Were very close though :D

Yes, very close. Don't do anything more that will startle her at this point. Still could be awhile, but sounds very good.

Shes just been back on the bed. Had a big contraction, waters went, (missed the towel [emoji]128514[/emoji] ) and jumped straight down under the bed. I think shes adamant she will have them under the bed. Typical. X

My problem with under the bed is that its such a confined space, i can see or get to her if needed. Otherwise shes fine to be there.

At this point, she sounds a bit freaked out. Slide a blanket under the bed for her if you can. If not, just let her do what she needs to do. You can move them into a nest later.
