@Winchester

So... no more Captain Crunch?

I could go for a nice eggwhite omelet right now, stuffed with bacon and jalapenos and some shredded white cheddar cheese. Oh and maybe a side of wheat toast and a glass of o.j. (no pulp).

@Inanna, actually no. I'm doing pretty good with the whole Cap'n Crunch thing. I don't know what in the world created that urge. Often, as we mosey through the grocery store, I'll see the Cap'n Crunch and think, "Man, I could go for a bowl!" But if we'd buy the box, then I'd eat the whole box. I know me and yes, I would.

Still could go for that glass of Pepsi. (Alas, it's diet Mt. Dew....with a couple sliced lemons.

I still want Biscuits and Gravy.

Though now I want some Cream puffs, too.

I also had an urge for Pepsi(I am a Coke person), but not anymore. I drank too much of it.

I am making the cream puffs today, so at least that is crossed off my list!

Oh wow, cream puffs! The last time I made cream puffs, I made chocolate puffs with a chocolate filling. And a chocolate ganache to pipe overtop. It was chocolate overload. As well as a bit of heaven on a plate....if you like chocolate, that is.

I think I want a cream puff now, too.

Egg waffles
It's kind of like a sponge cake in a sort of waffle shape. It's a popular street snack in Hong Kong. Some US cities with Chinatowns may have a rstarurant or street food vendor that sells egg waffles. There are two places here that do. The closer one doesn't make very good egg waffles. Too dense and blah tasting. The further one has flufy egg waffles that are slightly sweet. Mom usually picks some up on her way to visit a relative who lives in a nursing home near there.

Ah, Cap'n Crunch...the only breakfast cereal that gleefully shreds the roof of your mouth into a bloody mess and leaves us begging for more! ;-)

Sadly, I've made the mistake of reading the ingredient lists. Thank you, side panel, for ruining my childhood!

No cereal for me tonight, though I've been wanting a nice, big bowl of raisin bran for some reason (and no, it's not for...ahem..."those" reasons). Rather, I've sated myself with a hearty beef marinara resplendent with basil and mushrooms served over a bed of freshly-made spaghetti.

Okay, I lied...it was a package of Lean Cuisine. My pasta maker broke years ago, and the only basil I have is in a plastic jar with the word "McCormick" on the side. Sigh...I've grown lazy...this isn't like me. I need to cook again. That tears it...tomorrow after work, I'm stopping by the grocery store and picking up some "basics", and then...watch out, world! This pirate's back in the galley!

So, last night I had onions and potatoes with an egg scrambled in, a la Artiemom, and tonight I'm having the new mixture with finely diced bell peppers and diced ham added.  I get the shivers thinking about it.  I hope it's as good as it sounds to me!  I couldn't believe how good it was with the egg added!

Everything. This dieting thing sucks.
Totally agree-I Still want my fatty chicken wings and fries...grrrr. I ate boiled chicken breast in some sauce mixture recipe I found-its ginger and orange juice and garlic=after it was done cooking it had no flavor. so it was like eatng chicken in orange juice and a tad bit of ginger...but supposed to be healthy. :/

Sounds like you need a better diet!  Just curious, what diet are you on?

I'm craving Turkey Hill Mint Chocolate chip Ice cream but it hurts my stomach :(

Funny, i was just watching a video about Keto pizza.  It's not low fat, but it is low carb. IMO if you are cutting one macronutrient,  you need to increase another.  High fat/low carb curbs your appetite and you naturally eat less.  Now If I could only beat my white sugar addiction....

It's really what works best for me for weight loss though. I guess I should have been clearer, that I am limiting, not eliminating. I just had a high fiber english muffin for breakfast and I use plenty of olive oil when cooking. I'm eating better fats and carbs.

Yup, trying to stay away from sugar, although that is is virtually impossible. It is in everything.

I will say that since I cut back my consumption of cookies, sweets, that when I have something that has sugar in it, I feel that it is too sweet....I do not care for it.

I am trying a high protein, low carb diet, but that is hard to do also. I am not on any diet plan, just my own.

lots of salads, veggies, make sure I have some kind of protein in my salad, etc...

I cannot eat the fiber rich enhanced foods. They usually contain chicory root. Chicory root does a number on my stomach. It is really bad. So, all the Fiber One and Kashi things are off limits to me. I have to look at ingredients.

Having too many salads also does my stomach in. It is me..

Thinking of trying some kind of diet. I did weight watchers, on line, several years ago. It was a battle to lose 10 lbs. I was not exercising at the time; I am now.

The big three bad boys for me is grain (all grain, no exceptions
), white sugar (GMO/pesticide/herbicide), and pasteurized milk (no lactase).  I'm trying to replace the sugar with honey, because honey doesn't make me crazy for more.  Which means I will be cooking more.  And I don't really like to cook because it creates dirty dishes.

Since I have the day off unexpectedly today, I will be trying "paleo" bread made with almond flour, and also chocolate chip cookies made with the almond flour, honey, and soy free chocolate chips.  (Soy is bad for low-thyroid and so is grain.)  Which means I will be cooking more.

So today I am craving those low carb chocolate chip cookies.  Hope they turn out good!
