The diarrhea is very likely from the change in her diet, so it should stop as soon as her system adjusts. In the meantime, you can mix some plain, canned pumpkin into her food to help firm up her stool.

So glad to hear the kittens loved the mush!

My dog molly is helping with operation clean up after the kittens went wading in mush again. Mom is quite happy to let molly help out and is glad of the rest. Momma had a good feed and watched molly clean up her kittens then promptly sat on them lol. Moggy is still happily pregnant, watch and wait i guess. All fed and watered in the kitten house so its time for bed. Goodnight all.

Thanks for advice @sarthur2 the mommy cat is eating well and her kittens are enjoying the mush, which I've now made with a few lumps. Happy litter. As for poor pregnant moggy, she still hasn't delivered and is getting bigger by the day. Will keep you posted

Moggys temp has dropped from 38.8 degrees to 36.9 degrees but im taking it under her back leg as its the only place she will let me take it and i certainly wouldn't do a rectal temp. Plus im not 100% confident in the thermometer. Plus she is making a few noises that ive not heard her make before. But is this just wishful thinking on my part. Oh my days im like a cat on a hot tin roof!!!! She is still grooming, probably more so. She is going to give me a heart attack if she doesnt deliver her babies soon!!!!!!

First, try to relax!

Most cats manage just fine!

Of course move her onto fresh sheets when she's done. It's not a big deal. Cats like fresh, dry, clean bedding after birthing.

How's it going?

Normal. They are in the birth canal preparing to be born. She's probably having painful contractions.

How long can this go on for? She doesn't seem to be having contractions but then I'm not her so what do I know. She is just purring for ages then out of the blue she let's out a yelp. Not loud but different tob her normal self. If I stop stroking her belly she yelps at me to start again. I have everything ready. I just wish they would come so that I know they are healthy. This feels so out if my control. Why ih why don't people neuter and care for their cats properly.

It can take a while or be quick.  All cats are different.  Only worry if she is pushing for 30 minutes w/o a kitten being born.
