I haven't been giving her KMR, I thought that was for kittens?  I bought some, but since the kittens were doing so well I was going to donate it to a shelter.  Should I be giving it to Hidey?  How much?  I haven't even looked at the can.  I'll be buying more wet kitten food tomorrow. She's not truly skinny, just seems back to pre-pregnancy size already.  I'm jealous :)  She's got a very loud purr.

You should be giving her a dish every day for calcium. I posted about it earlier in your thread. And you'll use it to mix with the wet food to make mush when the kittens begin to wean. And it gets poured over kitten chow to soften it for the kittens as well. And they will lap it too :).

OK, this feels like a stupid question, but  - "a dish"?  Should I just guess?  And we'll give her "some" today :)

About one-third of a cup. If she likes it you can offer this much twice a day while she is nursing.

OK, I just put some on a plate - two tablespoons formula to four T water.  Slightly more than 1/4 cup.  She lapped it up, mostly.  There were some lumps left, so I added a bit of water and mashed them with my finger.  She was nursing, but she'll probably get it soon after.  I'm still trying to figure out a way to tell the black striped leg ones apart, but haven't come up with anything yet.  Such adorable kittens, though!

except the stripes are very dark grey/brown.  The only light part is around their eyes.  I feel like there ought to be some way to tell without marking them up.  It's like a puzzle - and gives me an excuse to to handle and examine the kittens closely.

You can mix one-third cup of powder with two-thirds of a cup of water in a measuring cup. Mix well with a whisk or strainer to get the lumps out. It can be covered and kept in the fridge, and stirred and heated gently before giving it again.

Are they all healthy weights?

It's a 2:1 mix, so 1/3 cup of powder to 2/3 cups of water, mixed and poured - no lumps ;). This is her calcium and extra vitamins and minerals for nursing.

Are all kittens healthy weights?

I haven't weighed kittens today, they were starting to fuss and Hidey just went back in to nurse some more.  She looks anxious (one was squealing about being trampled on/fought with for a nipple), so I'll wait a bit.  The weights have looked wonderful so far, though.  I'll post when after I get them.

OK, off to google what a 'clipped' ear looks like :)  I want so badly for her to be ours, guilt free.  She is such a good mama!

Went shopping and got 24 more cans of kitten food.  Does the mama cat really drink/eat the... um... waste products of her kittens?  Because that's what it sounded like.

Yes, until they go on solids and have formed poops and use a litter pan.
