It's been coming and going at a pretty steady pace ever since the 27th. She's doing something a litle different now. Pic coming soon..

It may be hard to tell but she's on her back almost all the way and has her bottom legs spread, still breathing heavy and moderately fast.

She's laboring. Do you only have black and white photos available? At least it sounds like labor. Could be pre-labor though

This is actually colour picture..the quality is just horrible /: Now that you said she's in labour I'm so excited I can't keepmy arms down but I'm trying to be quiet. Haha  She just rolled back over and is laying normally on her stomach is that normal?  On her side now.

Hmm. She certainly sounds like she's in labor. She's taking her time though.

Yes it's moderatly fast and a good-fashion deep. Kind of wagging her tail as well. As I'm typing this her breathing got a little faster. She's still purring and pushing agaisnt my ankle and trying to enjoy me scratching her neck but ever so often she'll glace down quickly like she's giving the kittens the death glare. God, what an experience...

My cat sat on my chest the entire night of her labor, and jumped down and ran to her nest in the spare bedroom closet to push and give birth. And she had pre-labor contractions for a good day or so before.

I hope that's what's happening. I just want those kittens out. It's beyond wanting kittens but I just want to know that Granola's okay. She's my first priority. I've never loved anything like I love her. Of course, I can say that about every animal I have. I love them all more than anything. Something like this, where there's a chance she could be in danger/I don't know what's going on, is so scary...

Oh, I know. She's eating right now but when she's here I just massage her belly as she wants me to and tell her how much I love her and she seems pretty happy (as she could be at this point) with that.

Your concerns are understandable.

What is she doing now?

She is eating in her nesting place. She'll probably be back up here in just a second.  But yes, I'm trying to keep her calm. Singing Vyenyetsianskaya Noch to her. She's purring a little loud.

How stressful and exciting at the same time. I've attended human births but not feline births so I can't help you, but to say the emotions of support staff are the same regardless of the mammal. Good luck.

I was just re-reading your first post. You said that you noticed her nipples pink up around mid-May, which would have been at about the three-week point. Moving forward, this would be her 10th week. She should be around 66 days now. Pregnancy averages 65 for a cat. Mine went 68 days. Your cat is right in there. It could be tonight, or in the next day or two or three. So hard to know, but It's imminent.

I'm glad to hear that but at the same time there could come a point when it means something's wrong. She seems really calm right now... She's not sleeping but is laying here on her side right next to me with her eyes half-closed.

Yes, but a cat will usually show distress, and that generally happens during the birthing process itself. Do you have a vet you can talk to if need be?

Not really... we're sort of new to this area. I could perhaps call one tomorrow if need be..

I think the hardest part is waiting and worrying at the very end like where you are now. Most cats do just fine.
