Alright so baby ate a little bit. The black baby is rooting around and eating now. I'm gonna show mom what the vet from the pet store said for us to do (which is what you told us, but he used water, a syringe, and a stuffed animal so it was awesomely helpful). White baby is sleeping, chin to chest. This is normal right? We're not used to kittens this little.

Also, Princess is still licking it and helping it potty, so that's a good sign, right?

Mom has what? What are you talking about?

You just put a tube of Advantage on the mama cat's neck. It will kill the fleas. The kitten may be suffering anemia from fleas. Pick them off of her!

Bathing them when they are this young isn't usually advised since they can't regulate their body temperature. It would be better to comb them with a flea comb and dip the comb in the blue dawn and water mixture to drown any fleas that come off.

Thank you. I think the crisis is over, we may end up needing to hand rear this baby. It just won't latch.

How bad are the fleas on the babies? The Advantage on mom will take care of most of what is in the nest and on the babies.

You only need to supplement the baby until she is latching well. Mom's milk is best. I suggest you begin supplementing now. 1 mL every hour then put her back with mom. She should latch soon enough if you do this.

We've veen doing that since about four (six thirty now), mama just helped her potty again. We'll get the flea stuff for her, though.

I will! Mom's probably gonna be obsessively checking on the baby. My friend, the one who will be taking one of the kittens - her mum nursed kittens for years, so if we have to we can pass the baby off to her if it gets really bad.

Bean has gotten MUCH stronger. We're going to try to show her the nipple once again- if we see BD nursing we'll move him (since he's such a strong little guy, he'll find more milk) and put Bean on that nipple.

Mom's got it now. We might be able to save this kitten.
Mom has what? What are you talking about?
I think its CaringForcats own mom, whom is the first caretaker there, she got now the gears they children, Caring and her sis,  went out to buy.    I think it was what Caring meant.

Kmr and such.
