I don't think she is dialating... It doesn't visually look open. She's made several trips to the litter box and has been licking herself down there a lot more today that the past few days. She breaths heavy for about 30-40 seconds before going back to normal breathing but I don't see her belly tightening like contractions.. Who knows;) just because my son has an appointment tomorrow morning it will probably be then!

Just laid down wet food and she took 3 bites and walked away to lay down. She is still very playful and ready to pounce anything that moves her way. Several trips to liter box already too.

Not really. She's restless but still very frisky!!! She seems either not like the specific kind of food or just not eating it... In and out of the litter box... Heavy breathing but not panting only for like 30 seconds before it returns to normal. Still see movement from the babies. i just keep waiting... She's been in some weird spots so hoping she picks one of the 3 laid out for her... Under my bed or in my clothes drawer is not really suitable for me!!!

It sounds like she may be having early contractions. And hope you can steer her to one of her nests when the time comes! If not, let her have them where she is, and move the babies later when she's all done.

I thought you said touching them might lead to bad things....??? I just would feel horrid if something happened to them. Is it ok to move her when she starts panting or breathing heavier? Or should I just try to get something under her where she is and wait till she's don't to move the kittens?

No, children don't need to play with newborns. You can certainly move the babies to one of her nests if you need to if she has them in a strange spot. And you can move her into a nest when she's panting. Hopefully she will stay. But you can also put an old blanket under the bed for her if you think that's where she intends to have them.

You have received a lot of good advice.  Since you are not experienced with this yourself, you might feel more secure to just have more technical knowledge.  We have quite a few good articles on this site which will educate you more as to what to expect, what to have on hand, etc.  I am including links to them to make it easy for you to be a good doula for your cat!  Keep us posted.

During this time the less you hang over her the best as the more you try and follow her around the more stressed she will become. She will sense you stress level also so keeping yourself calm will help. When she starts having babies she might seem unsure about the process but she will have an inherent knowledge of what she needs to do. Check out the articles posted and having a kitten kit available in case she has a big litter. keep us posted.

Do you have KMR and a kitten bottle and syringe on hand in case you need them? And if you don't ever need them, you can mix servings of the formula milk for mama to drink now, and for kittens to lap later on. It's packed full of vitamins and minerals! :)

You'll have to buy a kitten bottle separately at the pet store or Walmart. KMR is sold at both places too. Syringe you can get at the vet's or a pharmacy. Get a 1 ml syringe. Good for giving pedialyte if necessary too. Do you have unflavored pedialyte on hand?

Goats milk will do fine for supplementing.  Also you dont have to get feeding supplies on hand -- if some need to be supplemented it will take awhile to see this.  It is best they drink what they can from the other because the first "milk" that comes is not even milk, it is colostrum and has lots of antibodies in it and it is the most important thing a kitten can get.  You want to let them get it.  Ony supplement if you see one is becoming weak and will not nurse.  If you supplement tiny babies, it is best to use a 1 cc. syringe (available free at most pharmacies) or an eye dropper because they can't suck a nipple well right away and if yu squeeze on the bottle you can accidentally choke them and cause pneumonia.
