If your cat went through, or is going through terminal cancer, maybe you can help me.

My cat is terminal with about 4 lumps.  When she is on pain medicine, she plays like a kitten.

An oozing sore just showed  up recently.  I do not know if it showed up on its own or because sometimes I have to get down on my tummy and drag her out from under a table to give her pain medicine.

ORAJEL & ANTI-BIOTIC CREAMS - Today, I started putting on baby tooth medicine like orajel and the 3 anti-biotics cream.   Plan to take her to Vet to ask about what to do next; maybe this week.  I am setting my alarm clock for every 6 hours to give her 0.1 mL of buprenorphine which seems more effective than 0.2 mL every 12 hours.

This is the first sore to show up.  Is there anything else a veterinarian may have suggested, or a home remedy you have tried to take care of an oozing cancer sore?  What home remedies to take care of such a sore have you tried?

After cancer surgery 7/7/14 and 10/20/14,  the cancer came back.  There are now four lumps have gotten the size of a cherry tomato.  One lump has gone through the muscle wall and tendrils are going into the lungs.  They are bumpy lumps.

IP6 - The past few days, I started giving my cat IP6 & inositol, having read it sometimes shrinks cancer tumors and I've read it can reverse cancers (there is all kinds of stuff on the internet, but one never knows what to believe).  The bumpy lumps seem pretty much advanced; what I read seemed to apply to beginning cancers.  I do not know if the oozing sore is being helped or not by the IP6; maybe it is just too late.

At this point, after being given the pain medicine,  my kitty becomes cheerful and playful.  She is eating well, drinking water, poops, and naps; sometimes she snores.

Can anyone share with me something your vet did or suggested to give relief to feline cancer pain beside buprenorphine?  Did any vet ever tell anyone to increase the dose from 0.2 mL per 12 hours to a larger dose?  .........  Has anyone here had a kitty who cancer lump became raw and started oozing?  What did you do?  What did their Vet do or suggest?

IF THIS THREAD IS OFF TOPIC AND NEEDS TO BE DELETED, NO PROB. - If I am repeating myself, I'm pretty stressed out over different issues right now; this feline issue the highest emotional stress.  Maybe this is not a  usual thread.  If it is out of place, and needs to be deleted, that's ok.  I plan to see "her vet" if she is in tomorrow or see Sweetie's Pie's particular vet next week.  The Vet works different days.

6-HR DOSING.I have sleeping problems myself from various stressors right now, and if I sleep through or while very sleepy, turn off the alarm. and I miss that 6 hr dosage, I can see the pain in her eyes and that is when she hides back under a table.  As long as I am on time, within about  1/2 hr to 1 hr. of buprenorphine, she is a cheerful kitty, until this sore started.  Even with the sore, she is rather cheerful and playful, but touching the sore produces pain.  When I put on the orajel first, then the 3-anti-biotic cream, she licks it off, so I'm not sure how much if any that is doing to help her with the pain from the sore.

Any ideas how to make my cat Sweetie Pie more pain-free?  Is there anything stronger than buprenorphine?  If you kitty had open sores, what OTC items did you use?  Sometimes my cat's vet is in on Saturdays; sometimes not.

First off, I'm so sorry your little one is going thru this
.    I dn't have any experience in this matter, but I did manage to find a thread where someone else's cat had a mammary cancer tumor that ulcerated, and their Vet prescribed an antibiotic so it didn't become infected, which sounds reasonable to me.  I also found some other threads where Prednisone has been used to try to shrink the tumors somewhat (not a cure though, unfortunately).  Has that been tried yet?

Here are those threads:

Wishing your and your Sweetie Pie the best

I would try colloidal silver both internally and external.
