Wow, that's beautiful @Norachan

It was sunny and 70 here yesterday.  I had planned to work on taxes
but it was too nice to stay indoors, so I spent most of the day outside gardening.

Brrrrr, -15C but it's feeling like -25C with the windchill here now but I haven't even been outside yet. I live on the 10th floor so I can hear the wind. I just had to turn the bird room heater up, but it's a snow day so being inside and chilled is better than standing outside waiting for buses at 6:40am!

My mom and I have been talking since both our cities are still under storm warning. She got to work this morning to find her work hadn't been opened because her boss' car is snowed in! My dad takes a vacation day whenever it snows a lot. I still have to work tonight, but I can walk there.

@Norachan I love your pictures! What a gorgeous place to live!

10F, with wind chill values down to -8.  Lordy, I love my electric blanket! (and I'm sure that Pinkdagger thinks I am a weakling!
)
That's alright - if you catch me in the summer months outside or without AC, over 30C for more than 20 minutes and I'm just a pancake.
This is what happens when you get used to having 9 months of winter!

Same here. -16C with a horrendous windchill. Can feel the wind coming right through the old brick. And lots of snow to shovel. The car is a big white blob in the driveway. Just waiting for the ploughs to go by so I don't have to shovel out twice. Dreading it. Rounding up layers of clothing. Unfortunately, the standard afters of hot chocolate is not on the diet plan. Hot bath and crawling under every duvet in the house is the plan.

That's the ups and downs we have had this winter as well.  We are going into a cold snap now after warmer weather.  The last  I seen was 2 tonight, they have kept raising the expected low at one point it was supposed to be 8 below.  It's supposed to be in the 50s this weekend.

I just checked the weather and it 23 now and the expected low is 10 now instead of 2.  I will certainly take this over the winter we had last year.

Yesterday morning it snowed enough for a good covering, then last night it was warm enough and raining to melt all the snow.

When I walked during lunch today, it seemed almost balmy, with no wind, even though the temp was right around 34 F or so. Toward the last ten minutes or so, though, the wind really started to pick up and things got nasty. Now? Windy and gusty and we're at 24 F with a wind chill of 11 F. Now they're saying we'll get down to about 5 F or so tonight. Rick is outside now, working on the driveway (he won't let me go out because the snow is terribly heavy and he doesn't want my back messed up). It's turned into one icy mess out there now.

It felt really warm this afternoon, while I was trying to start my car.  (Yes, I had to go to the Sears Auto Center, for a new battery.....unexpected...

We had another 17 inches  of snow snow yesterday---with another 5 inches to come on Thursday/////they are predicting another large storm Sunday to Mondy///

We have officially had over 40 inches of snow in one week--a new record.....YIKES!

I already rescheculed Artie's dental surgery, this past Monday... I rescheduled for this coming Monday...

We are supposed to have another good sized storm (at least 8 inches) on the day he is scheduled for surgery!!

He needs it to be done! I can get a discount in the month of February.  I want his Vet to do his dental..Her surgery day is Monday!!!   It is dental month in February, I can get a discount..-----Well, If i have to wait until March, I will do so. I want him to be safe getting there and I want to physically  be able to pick him up after the surgery, so he does not have to stay overnight... He needs me.---he needs to be home with me.....sigh..

just venting...

Sorry.

Haha, I just saw this.    If it makes you feel any better, it's windy and rainy here today.
But even so, the 'storms' we get here are nothing compared to the weather most people are going through right now.

It's 43 right now supposed to get into the low 50's today and tomorrow.  It's supposed to rain tomorrow.  By the end of the week it's supposed to be in the 20's during the day and the teens at night.  I will take this over last winter, I had a hard time getting through last winter's frigid temps.  We just didn't get a break from it all winter.

We are right around 33 degrees F. With rain. We were supposed to get hammered again last night into today. Fortunately, our original 4-8 inches went down to 3-5 inches and now we are to get less than one inch of snow tonight. We're to get hit with freezing rain right around late afternoon into this evening before it all changes over to snow. I'm thankful that we didn't get what we were supposed to.
