My 3 month old son seems to be feeling better. He has a throat infection and I think the antibiotics are helping.

There is a sale at my local pet supplies store.

I got four 6 kilo sacks of their favourite dry food at 44% off, 2 dozen can of wet food at 50% of and ten 5 litre sacks of cat litter with 150 yen (just over a dollar) off each sack. Hopefully that's enough cat litter to last the winter.

The cup of tea I am having right now is really hitting the spot and clearing out some congestion.

We had a very quiet weekend at home, which we both needed.

My new foster kitty, Henry, is doing better and better every day.  He's been with us a week as of yesterday. He's got a great appetite, is drinking and using his litter box with no accidents and has been venturing out more and more from his hiding spot in his safe room. It turns out he's 8 not 6 as was originally in his bio but I really don't care about that. I'm not as young as I used to be, either.

I'm so proud of my sweet boy and I tell him this often. I ordered him a tree that's supposed to be here Friday. Once that comes, I'll set it up in his room by the window then hopefully I can block off the area behind the desk he's been using and he can use the cubby in the tree as his safe place. Once he's ready to come out of his room and join the girls, they can all share the big and little trees. He seems to enjoy having a litter box all to himself. He's never had that before. He was in a room with about a dozen or so other cats and they all shared multiple boxes. I have 3 boxes now with 3 cats so he can still have his own unless he decides to share (or the diva sisters make that decision for him)

What a cutie Henry is!

I was able to go for a walk the past few days. Going to try for a third day.

A young woman reserved (i.e., applied to adopt) two cats today. Both of them are adults and all black. One is missing part of an ear and the other only has one eye. :cross: that it all works out. Somebody else would like the female with the messed-up ear, but they want to keep her as an indoor/outdoor cat and live too close to a busy street for my tastes.

That's great, I hope it all works out. I can't understand why people are reluctant to take black cats. My two little black bob-tails are the sweetest, most affectionate kitties ever.

I learned today that they're due to be picked up on Saturday. There seem to be three reasons why people don't want black cats - superstition, the fact that they're a bit hard to photograph and the difficulty in telling them apart from other black cats.

I recently brought Autumn to the vet and now Autumn is on a diet.  She weighed in at close to 17 lbs.  The positive thing is that she is doing very well with less food and I'm so happy about that because she really does need to lose that weight.  If only her Meowmie could say the same
