Hello guys, I thought it might be time for an update. The boys are doing very well. They love to play and have tried, and failed, to catch birds (including our chickens). They don't seem to like our Mr. Rooster very much, or the turkey. Mouse isn't to fond of our ferret Marbles (she likes to play very roughly with the cats). Astrid loves to sit on our chest or shoulder and sleep for hours, and Doctor Is becoming more and more like his mommy. He loves to sleep in my bed with me and he loves to go outside to play. They all love to hunt and they all beg for our food more than our dogs

Can you guess what is under the pillow?

Who knew the older girl would like to drink with our cats?

I love it when they do this, though Doctor does it more often
Mouse passed out after he was done biting poor Token on the leg.

This is Mouse's newest thing, hiding under my kindle case, much to my dismay.

Oh yeah and hiding behind the computer monitor..

Have I mentioned he likes to sleep in towels? Oh Mouse.

Last but certainly not least, I just love it when they cuddle!

I hope you all enjoyed this newest update! Thank you all for you amazing support through everything.

So happy to hear that all your kitties are doing great! They are sure growing and thriving in your great care. I completely understand how much you still miss their mommy kitty. I still cry over my precious little Mickey. It is five months now and I miss him more than ever. I don't think we ever truly get over losing one of our kitty babies. We just learn to cope with the loss the best we can.Yes I know what you mean about wanting to wrap them in a plastic bubble and protect them. I feel the same about my new cat Shadow. I feel that I couldn't help my Mickey and save him from his illness. I now hope to be able to keep Shadow safe and healthy. I wonder about him, fearing that he too will become ill .I realize that Mickey was 13 when he passed and Shadow is still young. You never know though. All we can do is try and keep them safe and hope for the best.I, enjoyed reading your update and the pictures you posted of your babies are just beautiful!

I am sorry about you Mickey. I think one thing that made it harder for me is that she was not even 1 1/2 years old yet, and one thing that made it easier is that I have three beautiful babies to remind me of her. It is hard to think that she has only been gone for three months when it feels so much longer than that. It is also amazing that the babies are already 19 weeks! They are getting so big. I am glad you enjoyed the update! I enjoyed writing it.

Thank you for he lovely photo update.
Your fur family are definitely getting big and grown up here, and look very healthy.  Poor Token, still having to share dinner and then used as a pillow!  What patience.  Perhaps it is Token that has been getting your little ferrets to show the kittens who's boss?

Oh dear, it does sound as if your Mouse is like my Mouse - full of mischief and mayhem but so cute he can get away with everything.

I totally understand your anxieties around the neutering and this must be like a huge weight hanging over you as they grow but I hope you are able to find the courage to talk with a vet about it and find a way to work through your concerns.  The risks for your cats will grow as they mature  and as males their tolerance of each other will change and serious fights begin.   Remind your self that the surgery is very different for males and is not nearly so complex as it is for any female:  it would not be the same surgery that Baby Kitty had.

Yes they are most definitely getting bigger. I know my poor puppy gets beat up by all the other animals. Yes I think that Token is the best teacher I could have. He helps with all of the animals and is the most gentle thing. Though he is gentle he is not afraid to tell the kittens to stop fighting lol

He really is just full of mischief. His long hair makes him all the cuter and when he snuggles up with his brothers I just can't stay mad at him!

It is hard for me to get them neutered, but I know that they need it. Though I will not take them to a low cost like I did with baby kitty. I am waiting until I can take them to the vet that we have in town. It will probably be just after the new year.

I'm sure there will be a big gathering of people here holding their breath and sending massive positive vibes when you do take your babies in for their surgery @Ryan Glenn  .  Until then we will all enjoy your photos and updates, and news of Mouse's latest hiding places.

The vet that I talked to said that I should wait until they are 5 or 6 months because I am not only getting them altered but I am getting them all of their shots too. I am waiting another 38 day or so (Which is when they will be 5 months). And hopefully that will give me the time to get the money together as well.

Hello everyone,

I think it is time for an update. Sadly this time there wont be any pictures.
But I am happy to announce that the boys are scheduled to be fixed on the 24th of February! They are also getting distemper and rabbies and one of them will be tested for feline leukemia. They are six months old and quite the hunters! Doctor and Astrid and almost identical. They have the same meow and everything! But they couldn't be more different in personality. Mouse oh Mouse. I love him so much. He reminds me most of Baby Kitty. I have stopped thinking it was her when I hear the bells on the Boy's collars. The first time I heard the bell I though she was going to come around the corner with a mouse in her mouth. I still miss her, but it doesn't hurt as much now. You guys were all so amazing. You helped me through everything and you grieved with me. Though this sounds like a goody bye it isn't, you couldn't get rid of us so easily!

Tx for telling this happy report!   Why is one of them getting tested for FeLeukemia?   Just to be entirely sure, or is there a reason for it?

Always good to hear updates and know how things are with you.  And I for one am hopeful you will be sticking around as you have been offering a load of support around PC&K in addition to sharing your own cat n kitten tales.

Of course I am also head and heart lost to a Mouse, though mine is a little bigger than yours @Ryan Glenn, so we share that experience.  Mouse kitties are very special.

Okay I have a question. Recently Doctor has been sucking on one of my pillows and a bear that I have on my bed. I can't seem to get him to stop. Even if I put it under my blankets it doesn't stop him. I am starting to think he was really not ready to be weaned. He is the one that keeps trying to nurse on our dog. So I guess my question is does anyone know how I can get him to stop?
I don't think you can actually. I had a cat called gentle, lol, a misnomer if ever there was one, who sucked whatever i was wearing until she went to rainbow
Bridge age 16 years.

He still suckels! But I love it. It is cute and I know that he is going to do it. Mouse suckles too. Astrid doesn't really suckle at all.

Okay, so we have mouse traps in our house because we need them gone. We made sure that the cats couldn't get to except for one of them. It is in my parents closet. We keep the closet door closed but one time my step-dad left it open and it got doctors paw.
It is only the very edge of his pad that is affected. It didn't actually snap on his paw. he stepped on the carpet buy it and it snapped. But I need to wrap his paw but I don't want to wrap it too tight, but I also don't want it to fall off. So How do I make sure that I am wrapping it's tight enough, but not too tight?

Should I just not wrap it and keep him inside? I will post a picture in a minuet so you can see what I mean.

@Ryan Glenn  I'm not sure why you feel the need to wrap his paw up if he did not catch it in the trap?  Is his paw pad hurt in some way or is he bothered with it and licking or chewing?

The only time one of my cats has had a paw bandaged was when Pal had a front paw bandaged because she pulled a claw out and it had to be kept clean until it healed a bit.  The vet made sure it was clean and then wrapped gauze, then topped with bandage tape from her paw up to what would be her elbow joint.  She was totally spooked by the bandage and every time she saw her taped uip paw she jumped about 2 feet in the air.  I felt really sorry for her.  If Doctor has broken skin on his paw I would tend to let  a vet take a look at it before taping up in case any infection set in.  Do post a photo if you can though as I am really not sure what it is the little one has done.

I know his paw looks wet, but yesterday I put neosporin on it. But I made sure that it didn't have pain relief. But when I had wrapped it yesterday stuff was coming out of it. Just a little tiny bit of blood, and then some puss like stuff. I assumed I had it wrapped to tightly so I took it off last night.
