My neighbor Nona gave my the complete works of Lilian Jackson Braun about a reporter that has two Siamese cats Koko and Yum Yum and they solve mysteries. At first I thought how silly, but now I'm on book number four. No heavy reading - just entertainment.

Mo10C, I'm going to keep with it then. I think part of the problem is that I only read it on occassion during my break at work. If I take it home with maybe I can give it attention for longer spans of time.

I just finished reading, The Speed of Light, by Elizabeth Rosner. It is told from 3 different characters point of view. The typeface is different for each character, so you know who is telling the story when it switches back and forth. It is a well written story, covering some serious issues in a creative manner that doesn't bore.

Now I've started Dan Brown's, Digital Fortress. I believe he wrote that before he wrote The DaVinci Code, but it is unrelated as far as I can tell.

I'm going back to school, taking online classes, so I have also started reading the textbook for my Environmental Ethics class. Some of it interesting, but I hope I have the discipline to keep reading a textbook. (or at least as much as assigned to read)

Ccdogmuffin, no comment on, "The Drawing of the Three"? That pulled me in so deep to "The Dark Tower" series I was amazed. "Calla of the Wolves; The Dark Tower V", wasn't near the book that you just read but I still can't stop reading because I have to know what happens.

I should be ploughing through a book about German grammar – Yawn!

Instead I just finished „Sick Puppy“ and just started „Lucky You“ by Karl Hiaasen. Very funny.

Also I just ordered „Watchmen“ by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons but itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ll take about three weeks for delivery.

Saw a lot of old favourites listed here – Steven King (especially Gunslinger etc.), Dean Koontz, Anne Rice... I also love anything by Michael Crichton.

The Calvin and Hobbes comics are always good for a giggle.

The Nania series? Wasn‘t that the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe? Canâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t remember too much of the plot but I know I loved it as a kid. Another good childrenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s book was “Folk of the faraway Tree†– anyone know who wrote it?

Dwarfie - the person who wrote the Faraway Tree series was Enid Blyton. Dang, she was my favourite as a kid! I loved her books!

It is. I really enjoyed those stories when I was younger, too. They are a good example of allegory and probably C.S. Lewis' easiest books to understand. In high school I tried reading his book, The Screwtape Letters, but just couldn't stick with it. But, back to the Chronicles of Narnia-if you're interested Pooky, after you read them, some of the books have been made into movies, both with human actors and animated.

Finally, the library got me a copy of Patricia Cornwell's Blow Fly! I've been on the hold list, for three months and I finished it, today. Heckuva shocker. Hope Scarpetta can finally settle down, with a nice guy.

After 'Moon' I started 'Night Probe' by Clive Cussler. I finished that today so I'm off on the hunt for a new read. I really want to read 'Sahara' before the film comes out because it's one of the two 'Dirk Pitt' books I don't have yet.
