It definitely should go on your must read list - I'm hoping to buy it for my mother and mail it to her because I'm sure she would enjoy it. At least, I hope she would!

I just started reading "The 10 Stupid Things Men Do To Mess Up Their Lives" It's a very interesting book, but I won't say if I've ever done any of the 10 stupid things... because... ummmmm I haven't read the whole book yet. Yeah, that's my excuse. After that I'm going to have to read "The 10 Stupid Things Women Do..." No Stephen King or Koontz for me right now.

I just finished the Cat Who companion it is pretty good and ties the books together, plus the cat who cook book is really nice. I just finished three Elizabeth Lowell books. I started a series by Elizabeth Peters about Egypt. I love C.S. Lewis too. I also have listioned to many books on Tape to many to mention, keeps me entertained while working in the house.
I read Ann Rice years ago and enjoyed what I read, but haven't picked up any of her new stuff. I like also just finished a book called Curly Girls about Curley hair it is small and an easy read. Maybe it will help with my hair LOL. Oh and I just bought my self a Tasha Tudor cook book I love her books on gardening too. I also have the "Other end of the leash" for an insite in to my canine companions. And last but not leas I raided Dover publications for some of thier neat coloring books for presents.
I love to read and find it very theraputic and I always learn something

I just started reading A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving. It's really wonderful so far... I can't wait to finish it.

My best friend got me "The Good Earth" by Pearl S. Buck for Christmas, because I had mentioned to her that I wanted it. I just started it, and cant wait to dive even deeper into it. Have any of you read this book and how did you like it? Please dont give away the storyline.

Aww I didn't get any books for christmas. *Sigh*

I went to a second hand book store while we were up the country on Tuesday and the books were so pricey it was only a shame. I really feel like a good read.

I first read that, in fifth grade. All of Pearl Buck's books are good reads.

i have a hard time looking for books here.. this is why i rarely read.
The library here doesnt provide interesting ones :S and the place im moving ot i dont think it even has a library!! Its soo booboo when i cant order online
I get most of them online from amazon.de, but can also pick some up at a book chain in Stuttgart. You don't have to have a credit card to buy online from Amazon - they'll debit a current (giro) account or send you an invoice.

The latter option is new, but as long as you're 18 you can do it.

Finished "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" by Mary Roach over the holiday weekend. The chapter on heads was disturbing.

Now almost finished with "The City of Ember" by by JEANNE DUPRAU, an interesting young adults book. Only 288 pages, it's a quick but intriguing story. And it seems there's a sequel, "The People of Sparks". I don't know if I can wait until March to give it to my husband for his birthday (he found the first one, so ....)

Well I finally did it yesterday when Nana & I went a couple of hours up North I found a bookstore and brought five new books to fill in some time during my college break[two months]

At the moment I'm reading[nearly finished] a book called Compulsions. It's really good it's about this boy whos parents divorce and he turns to the bottle. It's a NZ book and I'm really enjoying it for $2.

For those of you who think that no one reads this thread or pays attention, people do... I bought the book Three Wishes by Barbara Delinksy based on the recommendation of a member here. It looks good!

I also got the book Outwitting Cats in the mail today, so I'm torn between which one to read first!
