To keep our heads prepared for the coming national election, we are reading "The Bush-Hater's Handbook, a Guide to the Most Appalling Presidency of the Past 100 Years," by Jack Huberman, and Ron Suskind's "The Price of Loyalty, George W. Bush, the White House and the Education of Paul O'Neill."

We just finished Michael Moore's "Stupid White Men... and Other Sorry Excuses for the State of the Nation," and we have his latest, "Dude, Where's My Country?" on order.

We guess that situates us.

Jeepers,

According to the UK press I have been reading of late, the irony may be that Dubya is likely to be reelected, while, on the other hand, it is not unlikely that he will have led Blair to defeat. All will be well.... We pray.

Best regards, Jim, Ann, Miss Kitty and, soon, Samwise

I just finished Son of the Shadows by Juliet Marillier and am starting the next book in that trilogy, the 3rd, called Child of the Prophecy.

New author to me, I like her work a great deal.

Well, I finished 'Trojan Odyssey' (I didn't sleep but I finished it) I really don't know what to say about it. The book was great but it looks like there won't be anymore Dirk Pitt books
I can't say too much in case someone else wants to read it but it seemed like a proper ending. I did read that Clive Cussler was considering retirement but that his son Dirk Cussler may take over the series. I guess I'll have to move on to his Kurt Austin series

Hello everyone,

I just started reading this cool series entitled "Warriors" by Erin Hunter. It's a fantasy series about a little house cat named Rusty who meets a "clan" of feral cats. They are the ThunderClan, and they are suffering for their territory and need more warrior cats. They are being persecuted by another clan of cats, the ShadowClan. Rusty will leave his comfortable home and join the ThunderClan, if he can endure the warrior training. This is pretty neat, but I usually like fantasy novels about cats. There are about 4 volumes in the Warriors series. I'll probably read all of them.

'Taliesin', 'Merlin', 'Arthur', 'Excalibur' & 'Grail'. They are the five books that make up Stephen Lawhead's Pendragon Cycle (I've just started the last one).

After that I'm gonna re-read 'The Crystal Cave', 'The Hollow Hills', 'The Last Enchantment' & 'The Wicked Day' all from Mary Stewart's Arthurian Saga.....

........I'm VERY interested in Arthurian Legend and count the Mary Stewart books as some of my all time favourites.

I ordered Complete Care For Your Aging Cat by Amy D. Shojai from Amazon.com and it came yesterday. I just finished reading chapter 1, "Defining 'Old' " and I completely agree with what Amy says is one of the best ways to judge the quality of a cat's life. So far, this book seems very well written and informative.

I read "Death's Acre", last week. Its Dr. Bill Bass' book about the Body Farm. I'm always interested in forensics and this book is excellent.

A couple of days ago, I finished Jonathan Kellerman's latest, "The Conspiracy Club". NOT up to his usual standards. I much prefer his Alex Delaware novels.

I'm not reading a book right now, but I have just finished a book called "My Fathers House" It was very sad, and it angered my of what this child went through, I'm not sure if it's fictional or not, but you should check it out. I shouldn't of read it, but I loved the book, and I was mature about it. I recommend it to adults, though :p
