Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone could tell how far along my cat is, don't have a clue when she mated and want to be prepared noticed weight gain for few weeks but now she's huge compared to her normal size she looks like she swallowed a ball. Not the best picks she doesn't like my phone or camera. she has also been very friendly which she isn't normally she was on verge of feral ( hand reared from 7 days old) thank you.

You can easily feel the kittens move about 2 weeks before delivery.  Weak movements perhaps three weeks before.

The last two days before delivery the kittens wander down into birthing positions, the tummy gets smaller and you dont feel them move as much. And also, you feel them of course in another place than before.

I myself think these points of thumb are easier to count on, than try and interpret pics.

If you handreared her since day 7,  she isnt no ferale...  even if she comes from a ferale mom.

So whatever behavior she usually displays, its her personality, and the ways you two have with each other...

NOT her being born by a ferale mom.

If she were born by a wildcat from the woods, yes, perhaps it would show.   They are known to be practically impossible to socialize into pets.

But our specie of tame cats, even if gone feral, are quite easy to socialize esp if taken as kittens.

Last I will cut in some links.   There are also two great articles our adm.  Anne has written and published here onsite.  I shall see if I find them.

Good luck!

Yeah Iv asked the same question on here about my cat looking thinner and apparently happens day before a cat gives birth! It's something to do with the kittens moving into birthing position.. Thanks you and I hope all goes well for you too x

Aww bless her she's looks a lot like my kitty from the back same colour and everything! But that's exactly what's happened with mine,, so she could be due very soon then,, she mite not be having loads if it's her first litter its normally only 2-4 kittens.. It's so hard to tell really unless you get a scan nd even then it's not 100%

They always show signs of effection nearer the end, there's a good chance she's going to want you presant at the birth,, my cat won't leave my side and crys of I leave the house!! Yeah some cats do look bigger but there probably on there 2nd nd 3rd litter which will mean they will be carrying more..

I think it has began, she has surely some contractions...    Empthing anal sacks happens surely quite often, it is a well known secrets labor and delivery can be quite messy and soiling. Both with cats and humans.   It is not just sterile white sheets, and smiling nurses and midwifes.

Somebody got to clean this mess up, before the snow white sheets are in place...

The similiar with cats, as long the discharge is brownish and not living blood, be happy.

*vibes!*
