I have just discovered that you can use the erasure to correct your drawings it's actually quite a useful tool to use in the paint box , I've been using the spray can to do my outlines but it's quite a crude way of drawing but if you use the erasure in combination with the spray can you can redefine your drawing outline much better so it looks more like a drawing you would do with a pencil and paper .

Here's an example , the outline on this drawing was quite thick but with just a little rubbing away I've got a better shape to work with then you can start adding your colour like example two

@Merlin2000, how concerned was your cat about what you were doing in that second picture above? LoL.  Great picutres BTW.

Here's a couple of my latest attempts, a little more 'serious' than the Eows....

Mouse on top of his tree.

Mouse waiting for biscuits

Mouse being Mouse

I gave up after the last one because I seemed to be getting worse...
  Might have another go later.

@Casseopia, your drawings remind me of a Warhol exhibition I went to a few years ago,  it's one of the best art exhibitions I've ever been to: real, great fun, and thought provoking.

This one might not count as I did it YEARS ago for my
niece. It's titled 'eows' because that's what she used to call my two 'girls' when she was very little.  Paint was easier in those days as I had a desk top and mouse rather than a laptop and mouse-
pad.  The cats weren't mine, they were just what I mananged to draw.

Will see what I can come up with using basic paint and a mouse-pad. :surf:

Those are jolly good. You're talented my dear MServant.

@MServant  I agree with Stewball - you're very talented! I love the last pic.

So I tried to paint a Tortoiseshell cat like Tippi with her Torbie strips and 6 hours later I've managed this , what a nightmare though trying to do Tortoiseshell patterns there so difficult to blend the colours together and then add strips to the mix . I take my hat off to mother nature for coming up with Tortoiseshell cats she's a genius to get the colours the way she does .

I wasn't going to enter a forth picture but this one took me so long and was so fiddly to do .

I've called it " Calico Tippi " (A Bloody Nightmare To Paint )

This one is beautiful also! I love how you captured the shadows and curves in her body. And those impressive whiskers, too.

I think I want to steal @linkfarm's drawing, throw linkfarm's name on it, the date, location, TCS,  and then in the future, when I see it at a gallery,  I will be able to say, yes, I was there when that drawing emerged.

Can we have a category for: artistic cats, funny cats, and "hmm.....maybe it's a cat"?

Because if that last category exists, then I gotta shot.....lol.

Wow, these are some amazing drawings.
