One 3.3 oz. raw weight Lamb and Rosemary sausage from a local butcher (no sugars or starches), and 1 cup raw cauliflower that I boiled, had with a  dash (hah) of Mrs. Dash salt free extra spicy seasoning blend. Cup of decaf with 1 oz. half and half.

The last of my turkey soup.

After Thanksgiving, I made turkey soup. (of course) I took the last of it out of the freezer last night for dinner, & just had what was left of it for lunch.

A burger and sweet potato fries from a fast food restaurant. We had to take our daughter to the ER (she has a really bad rash that quickly spread) and it was 7pm by the time we got out of there. We were all hungry so we grabbed burgers (chicken strips for our daughter).

An absolutely horrendous chicken fresco dish from a food blog. Mistake. I really need to stop cooking recipes from blogs and stick to sites with reviews. The VAST majority of "feedback" in the comments section of food blogs is gushing over the image or how good the dish "sounds". Ugh. Useless. There was so much wrong with this dish. </rant>

Ick. Sounds like it was a mess. I wouldn't have been happy either.

My kids gave me a sampler package of chocolates from Scharfen Berger....Chocolate Tasting Squares. In my Christmas stocking. I had one Tasting Square last night. Extra Rich Milk Chocolate. I thought I died and went to chocolate heaven (such a chocoholic I am).

Just finished my morning coffee.

I made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast this morning, as requested by my son, with Nutella maple syrup. I had no eggs and had already begun the process when I realized it, so I substituted a banana. Meh. The taste was fine (I like banana and chocolate together), but the texture was much too soft. Definitely edible, but I do like it better with an actual egg!

Salad of romaine, celery, raw cauliflower with diced sugar-free prosciutto/mozzarella rolls. Newman's Own Olive Oil & Vinegar for the dressing.

A homemade chocolate banana nut muffin. It's just a banana nut muffin with a chocolate on top so when you warm it, it kinds of melts onto it.

I am very cautious about some of those recipes unless people post and say they have tried it and it is good. Even then I have tried some of the very popular Pinterest pins that people rave about and they haven't been very good at all.

I had a low carb bagel earlier.

This wasn't a Pinterest recipe. Thought the Nutella maple syrup came from one. It was good, though! These pancakes were just from the back of the box and a forced substitution with the banana when I realized I had no eggs.

But you're absolutely right. I've tested a few Pinterest recipes and some are really good, but those from food blogs are definitely iffy and I'm giving up even trying those.
