We have a new restaurant here and we wanted to check it out tonight. I wish we hadn't, it was awful. I ordered the quarter chicken special (supposed to be chicken, veggies and potato). The waiter didn't know what kind of potatoes they had but I ended up with a baked potato which was fine. The vegetables tasted like alcohol and I ended up getting chicken and ribs covered in a gross BBQ sauce which is not what I ordered. They didn't have a high chair so my 18 month old had to sit in the booth beside me. She's a very curious, very active child and she would not sit still. It was not a good experience, and I will not be going back there. I asked on their Facebook page ahead of time if it was a restaurant I could bring my 18 month old to and they said it's a family style restaurant. It wasn't....at all.
We should have stuck with our usual Friday night dinner place. The food is half the price, twice the portion and very fast.
And good I presume.

Rick won't be home til late tonight, so I'm on my own.

Probably yet another toasted cheese sandwich. I have been living on toasted cheese sandwiches this week. And chicken noodle soup. (I could get something out of the freezer, but I don't feel like eating all that much, so it's OK.)

Some red beans and rice.  Simple since I'm feeling pretty lazy right now.

I took some beef stew out of the freezer last night. Don't you just love that! So all I have to do is make some creamy mashed spuds to go with it. I also think stews and casseroles taste yummier the next day or out of the freezer.

I don't think any McDonalds delivers since they are fast food. Drive thru is just basically ordering through your window of your car and getting the food that way.

We had corned beef tonight it was really good.

I've never seen a drive through. I don't even know if we've got any. My McDonald's is in the mall and they don't deliver.
Drive thrus are usually in large Mcdonalds with parking areas. You drive up to a speaker box and place your order into the speaker then drive forward to a window and pay then you drive forward again to another window and someone passes you your food and drinks. Drive thrus are great when you are travelling or in a hurry. Oh sorry@Miagis_Mommy. I see you already just posted that

I know what they are. We just don't have them. They must make you eat more junk food.

Rick is taking his mom to church this morning and I'll have dinner ready til he gets back.

Chicken fricassee with dumplings, green peas with thyme, coleslaw, and apple pie.

I was going to make cookies this afternoon, but he specifically requested apple pie.  It's from the freezer; I had made it back around the end of October. I thawed it overnight and it's baking now.

We're going out to eat somewhere this afternoon, but we haven't decided where yet.

Collard greens (started the ham hock last night in the crock pot) and a piece of pork.

I finally got all the ingredients together for sweet chicken curry :)

raisins, apples, peppers and boneless chicken with coconut milk as a base for the spice and a bed of rice. I can't wait for dinnertime!
