We're back home....for now. Thinking of going back out tonight for a while.

The best deals were at PetSmart today.....with the sales they had on canned cat food and on litter, we splurged. Came home with 100 cans of Friskies Buffet cat food at .39 a can, four 35-pound tubs of Tidy Cats scoopable litter at 50% off, and a bag of Royal Canin dry food for the kids to snack on. If we do go back out tonight, we'll hit PetSmart again for another 100 cans. We go through 28 cans of cat food every week around here, so anything to save a few dollars goes a long way for us. When you add in their litter, their snacks, and their Sip, it all adds up for the seven of them. Our local grocery store had 20-pound bags of Tidy Cats on sale at 2 for $6, also a good deal around here, so we bought 6 bags of that, too. The cats will be able to eat, poop, and pee to their hearts' content for a while!

I bought a few flannel shirts for dear Richard and a couple pairs of flannel loungers for him, too. A board game for our granddaughter. The games were BOGO, so we also bought a board game for ourselves (The Logo Game) and so her game was free. The Legos Lone Ranger set for grandson. We are looking at microscopes for him, too, but need to talk to our son first. (Rick and I enjoy playing board games, just the two of us, and often on Friday nights, we'll flop down on the floor with a game and play for hours. We used to play Scrabble, but it got too ugly and dangerous to play as we both play for blood. It can get nasty.)

Target had a great sale on hardcover books, so Rick bought Dr. Sleep there for me. I also bought The Vampire Diaries seasons 3 and 4 at $10 each. And the last season of Breaking Bad for my co-worker, also for $10. Supernatural is still way too much money.....I'm hoping that Amazon has it on sale on Monday.

Tomorrow is Small Business Saturday, so we're going to head into town tomorrow to do our banking, then hit the coffee shop to see if they have any store specials going on....I have four k-cups of Barista Colombia left, so I need coffee.

We're heading back out to PetSmart for more cat food. The Tidy Cats deal was at PetSmart, too, so we're buying more.

My co-worker got Supernatural season 8 on Amazon for $10 for me. And seasons 3, 4 and 5 of Fringe. He has seasons 1 and 2, but he didn't care for it, so I'm taking all five seasons from him for $30. Life is good.

I am a supervisor in a call center, so I am working a 13-hour shift today LOL!!! I did go to Petsmart on my lunch break to pick up food, but my preferred brands weren't on sale. Oh well... I'm not a big Black Friday shopper-- not a big shopper in general actually, unless it's for house stuff!!!

I kind of wanted to go out; at a reasonable hour.  DH did get to Lowes for some shelving for our closet; but since he had to remove the car seats to get it; the kids and I had to stay home.  My Mom was texting me while they were shopping.  She and my Step-dad took DD to see Planes earlier this year; so they bought that for her on DVD.  I think she is getting a Play-doh set that makes like ice cream cones or something along those lines.  And a few other things.  I've forgotten!  DS is getting trucks and a tool bench from them.  I've been putting some things away for a few months now.  So it's not like I have all of their shopping to do; but still.  They were TV shopping for themselves too.  I'm not sure if they picked one out yet.

I did get an early Christmas present with the pre-black friday deals on Khols website earlier this week.  I got the Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer, in Boysenberry

, on sale with an extra 20% off.  I also earned $75 in kohls cash with that purchase...
I have wanted one for years!  A friend sent me a link to the deal and I mentioned it to DH.  I didn't think he's go for it like that so my hopes weren't up at all; but he said to get it!  It's my present for the year; but it'll be nice to have just in time for cookie baking!  I think I checked my e-mail at least half a dozen times on Wednesday to see if it had shipped yet.  It hadn't.

Black Friday has come to Canada, but I didn't go out earlier today. We went out this evening and the only thing I got on sale was a Mrs. Potato Head for my daughter. It was on sale at Walmart for $5. The shelves were pretty empty by the time I got to the store. I was only really going out to get baby Tylenol and dog food.

Spent a few hundred for friskies wet and meow mix dry.  They also had on sale the $2 trial pack of Royal Canin witha  3$ coupon so that worked out VERY well.  Got bag of dog food.  Took awhile as all this was pretty much seperate orders to get the most coupons used/$5 holdiay bucks(limit one would print per one item bought)

Did Big Lots at 6 am for the free lottery and got 5 each(husbands) then went home and back out for 7am of petsmart.  Got some stockings but the coupons are not that great for me to use.  The free cat and dog treats were cool.  Cats hated treats for most part so threw it in dogs food:p

Went to CVS for soda around 5 pm and had husband hit one near his work.  .69 a 2 liter is great!  Going back out tomorrow for another 20

That boysenberry is gorgeous!

Our granddaughter wants more Play-doh for her ice cream cart. She has the cart, but she needs more "ice cream".

My Petsmart haul consists of:

6 buckets of Tidy Cats
1 big box Feline Pine (not on sale, sadly)
24 cans of Friskies, assorted flavors
1 new feather on a stick with 3 different attachable danglers
4 bags of kitty crack (Temptations treats)
1- 4 pack extra large dog Advantage 2

All for under $150. The most expensive was the Advantage, which was not on sale and cost $57. Not bad at all :) We are storing all the litter bins at my in-laws garage. Also, afterwards we stopped by Old Navy where the whole store was 50% off. I had some old gift cards with $75 available and got a ton of new shirts and a great grey cardigan. And some flip flops :)

For my first Black Friday trip, I am pretty stinkin' happy!

There's no Black Friday in Germany, since there's no Thanksgiving, but amazon.de has Cyber Monday deals for a whole week (and started last Monday, for some reason). I managed to get a great deal on 6 months' worth of dishwasher tabs, a Kindle cover with a light for my m-i-l as well as a collection of hot pepper sauces for my f-i-l (Christmas presents), and an English-language game for the last few classes before Christmas break, when the students are too antsy to do much work.

DH got my Christmas present, too. (He used my Prime account and obviously hoped I wouldn't notice the order or that the suitcases I had on my wish list had disappeared. :lol3: I guess he forgot I'd get an acknowledgement of order and dispatch advice by email). I just checked and he's got it stashed in the attic - a big Kelly green wheeled Samsonite with a TSA lock. My old 25-year-old suitcase got wrecked the last time I flew, and didn't have a TSA lock, anyway.

Surprise! :lol3::lol3::lol3:

Let's see - We bought a suit for Aaron online and we went into Home Depot late in the day to buy a kid's activity set they had advertised. A home brewing and wine making shop was having a 30% off sale, so we went there and DH picked up two wine kits and supplies to make beer.

Ugh, someone take the computer away. l didn't even go out but l spent a fortune!

l bought a down filled coat and winter boots from the States for Stateside delivery so l got them way cheaper than the Canadian equivalent of their website.

l bought a new bed, box and mattress set for my son. New down-filled pillows (my treat, mmmm), new down comforters, a sherpa-lined hoodie for DS and a black dressy coat for me.

Now l can't afford Christmas, lol. More overtime...

Dr. Sleep is excellent, IMHO.

We are still remodeling our kitchen.  We shopped for appliances back in September and got the dimensions for the cabinet maker.  The refrigerator we really wanted was on sale back then, but we couldn't afford it even at the sale price.  It was half price Friday, so we bought it.  I am so happy.

Anyone feeding friskies make sure to get the paper when there is the $1 off 24 cans.  And if you feed one of the few sold in big cans get them at Walmart or have Petsmart price match it.

Aww!  He tried!
Does he know you know?  Or are you going to act surprised when you open it?

Oh no. Can you act like you're surprised when you open it? I never could. A few years ago, Rick had ordered Shun knives for me for Christmas and a Kitchen Aid food processor. Well, I was at work and checking my home emails. And there they were. You could hear me woo-hooing for miles! He didn't even think about getting emails for the stuff when they were shipped out. And honestly, I should have not even opened them. But I did.

Hot pepper sauces? That would be right up my alley!
 Love the hot stuff!

Congrats on the new fridge, NurseAngel! May you enjoy many happy years!

Oooops.  He tried
And it was a nice gift.

Dh has been asking me what I want.  I didn't know. When we got back Sunday from Family Holdiay vacation #1 (my family at Thanksgiving- his at Christmas) I checked out the Amazon Cyber Monday deals.  Dh likes my Kindle- and said he'd be willing to take that  one if I upgraded.  It was $50 off the newest Kindle Fire- so I got a Kindle Fire HDX
I'm getting it early b/c we aren't going to be here at Christmas.  And it's got Skype loaded on it.  I have a dear friend I haven't seen in years- she works in China.  I facebooked her last night, and she's got Skype on her computer- I think it will be neat to be able to "see' her again

I guess I'm just cheap.  I feel guilty spending the money b/c we have so many other things that $200 could go to- and I have a Kindle that works just fine..............
