That's so funny MargeCat!! Love it!!
Hope you are getting better Winchester. Allergies are horrible. Didn't take you long to get back on the treadmill though!! You are a machine. Well done!!
Good work Peaches. Mountain climbers are tough. Do you ever do standing mountain climbers? They kill me. My least fave exercise of all time.
40 mins with JM today and then my yoga meltdown DVD arrived in the mail. Yay! So I tried out the level two.
KEEP GOING EVERYBODY!!!

Good one, Barbara!

You guys are really going strong.....great job! (And thank you all for the well wishes! I'd give you all a hug, but I don't know if I'm contagious!
)

Still have the headache and the stuffiness, but it's doable this morning. At least I feel human, so that's a start.

3 miles on the treadmill this morning

2.3 miles walking tonight

That's the bad thing about fall. I walked home in the dark and it's only 7:30!!!

Good to hear you are soldiering on Winchester!
I got another DVD in the mail today. JM killer abs!! I reckon it's gonna be a killer once I can get the hang of it. I also did six pack abs for good measure.

Winchester, is it a sinus infection?

Tammat, I do standing mountain climbers too, but no hopping. I'm not ready for hopping with weights yet! Most of the mountain climbers that I do are plank style. Standing or plank style they are tough!

Did Total Body video with 5 and 10 lb weights today. Increased pushups and weights for one of the exercises. Progress!

You are all doing great!

Hope you are feeling better, Pam.

Only a little over two miles walked Monday because I ended up getting stuck in a downpour. :lol3: 4-3/4 yesterday. I have to be out of the house soon, so no walk this morning.

Gosh I never thought of doing standing mountain climbers with weights!!! That would be horrific!
40 mins with JM for me today.
Keep it up everybody.
Hope you have a good day Winchester :) Peaches you are going great. Congrats on the progress :)
You must have been posting at the same time as me Abbysmom! You're doing great too!! Good work :)

Yes, I do think it was a sinus infection. I've not really had to cough much at all and, usually with a cold, I'm coughing my head off....very deep, racking coughs is what I get with a cold. This time? Hardly anything. And my eyes hurt as does the area around my nose and into my left ear. I'm thinking perhaps sinuses. And I am starting to feel better, thankfully. It really knocked me down on Friday...it was nasty.

Thanks for your thoughts, guys!

Peaches, your progress is amazing! You're doing so well!

Tammat, I envy you and your DVDs! You go, woman!

Karen, keep it up! I've gotten caught in those downpours and they are no fun. Doing good there!

3.25 miles on the treadmill this morning.

2.3 miles walking tonight

You probably need to be seen by your MD or RN, Winchester. That stuff can get stupid very quickly. I had to have Cipro for my last one because I let it go too long.

Thanks everybody for this thread. Today I needed it! I did Core Dynamics today with 10 lb weights for 2 of the exercises. I'm sore from yesterday so some of the exercises were very hard to do.

You're probably right, Peaches, but I am starting to feel better, so I'm going to let it go for now. It's kind of scary, too, because there are so few meds that I can take anymore without some kind of allergic reaction. I have to be doubly careful now. I do feel better. Rick had a really bad sinus infection a few months ago and he was on meds for quite a while, too (he can't take Cipro and I don't remember what the doctor prescribed for him).

I can't even begin to imagine how sore you are! You and Tammat just do so well with those DVDs!

3.25 miles on the treadmill this morning

2.3 miles walking last night.

That guy hit me when I was on my way back from my walk.....I wasn't too far away from the house when it happened, so I still got my mileage in last night.

You do so well with your walking Winchester. We have all found a form of exercise that suits us it's great. I did 45 mins today with JM. I put it off, put it off but it was worth the effort when I finally did it.

Tammat, great job! Congrats on getting it done! I know that when I don't walk, it usually ends up bothering me until I do.

Peaches, you too! Doing well with those weights!

3 miles on the treadmill this morning.

Walked 53:06 min, last time I walked that same route it was 55 min. I was supposed to do the Legs video today, but I woke up from my nap so groggy that I thought better of it! LOL! I knew that I needed to sweat in some way, and walking fast stretches out my sore legs.

I'm having a rest day. You girls keep working hard!!!

Peaches funny you should say that. When I went for my run I got further than last time for the same amount of time. I wonder if the weights have helped us? Stronger muscles more endurance? Or just fitness in general? Like I said I've never been toned before or sporty for that matter. This is all new to me and I'm finding it all pretty interesting.

Tammat, probably both? Weights definitely make a difference for me, though. When I did 3 day eventing (horses) and foxhunting years ago, working out made a huge difference. I noticed a difference when positioning patients in the OR over the summer although I was definitely not fit. But the skinny 23-26 year olds couldn't keep up with me either, so maybe I was more fit than I'm giving myself credit for.

Great news, I've lost a total of 15 lbs!!! I'd been afraid to say anything until I weighed myself daily to be sure.

Today I did the Legs video. I needed to do it, and the schedule would work out perfectly so that I'd have this coming Saturday off.

Has anyone tried magnesium oil for muscle soreness? It sounds promising.

WooHoo Peaches. That's fantastic. Well done. You've been working out hard and sticking to it. You deserve it!!

It was a warm spring day here today and a lovely evening. I was going to do a JM DVD but I went for a run instead 30 mins.

Peaches, I am impressed with you! You're doing beautifully!

Tammat, kudos on the run!

Ok, ok. After a weekend of a major self-pity party with a lot of whining and snotting around and numerous guilty looks at the treadmill every time I went to the basement, I did....

3.5 miles on the treadmill this afternoon (it felt good!)

2 miles on the treadmill (just finished up a couple minutes ago)

Thanks everybody! Taking it a little easier this time paid off.

Tammat, good job on running! I would have to work up to that via c25k.

Winchester, yay on getting on the treadmill! You'll trick the basement out and feel at ease in no time.

Today I did the Cardio Challenge video with 3 and 5 lb weights. I'm sore after Legs yesterday so my glutes and hamstrings are slathered with Icy Hot.
