Kali UPDATE:

So I took Kali to this FANTASTIC pet store where I took her the first day we got her and I spoke to the same woman who was able to tell us how old she was and her species and things we would have never guessed. She was so excited to she little Kali and was very happy to know that we were keeping her. She secretly knew we would fall in love with her. She was shocked to hear Kali had pneumonia but was glad we didn't put her to sleep and pulled her through. She said Kali's paws are growing faster than her body, she listened to her lungs and heart and said that she sounded good. She looked at Kali's hips and legs and said that she isnt as bad as we think, she just hasn't had her mummy teach her how to walk properly so I have to help her. I bought her premium kitten food that is scientifically created for kittens and vet recommended. And when we got her home I put a little bit on a teaspoon and she took to it straight away, I had to stop her from slamming her face in it. She perked up straight away and was acting like a completely different kitten. It was great.

I'm not so worried about her anymore. The lady also referred me to a vet that is affordable, don't use euthanasia and give free advice :)

So I'm a happy mummy right now :)

how do I feed her the kitten mince without getting it up her nose? I'm scared she will inhale it. She is so frantic when she sees it I can barely hold her back!

Um if you are talking about kitten wet food then I would say put it down when she is distracted and then just watch her when she is eatting. My kitten is a month and a half. Every time he hears or sees me or my boyfriend near the area where he eats with food he runs over and sits patciently and waits to eat

That's good that she is so interested in food!

Sometimes kittens just get it up their nose. And on their paws. And ears. And tail. Pretty much everywhere but in their mouths.

I agree that you just put it down and keep a close eye on her while she eats. If you water it down some it will help keep her from inhaling too much. Also, don't use a minced or chunky formula, use the smooth, fully blended kind. This is the easiest to mix with water or KMR and the easiest to eat while her teeth are still coming in. If it's too big of pieces then you do risk her choking on them.

What formula are you using? Most canned food comes this way- I think it's called a pate formula.

If you think she has some in her nose just try and wipe it gently with a wet rag. It will work it's way out or she will sneeze it out. Again, if it's the smooth pate kind it's not something you really need to worry about, but if it's a big chunky formula I would stop giving it to her!

Kali is in my dressing gown pocket and purring :) She loves it :) A friend took a photo as well so I'll upload it when I get a chance.

Your Kali looks like one of my Ginny's kittens.
The markings on the face are almost identical. Will be loading some piccys up later this week with my new phone and you'll be able to see.

What a sweet little kitten! They don't say that cats have 9 lives for nothing! It sounds to me as if she is very lucky to have found people who care about her so. Keep posting pictures because she is so cute.

she is spoiled rotten. she loves sitting in my pocket :) she's getting a rolly poley tummy from her food and she loves to pounce and bite everything! Everyone fights over giving her cuddles but she knows who her mummy is.
She didn't get a very nice beginning to her life and a mum that didn't believe in her, she deserves all the love and care in the world and my shitzu can't wait ti play with her but she's too small right now. She tries to control herself but she just loves kali :)

URGENT!

My baby now has diarrhea! Is this because of the change to wet food? Did I do it too suddenly? Should I buy pedialyte for infants if it goes on for longer than 24 hours? It only started at 11am and it's 10:pm now. She's eaten really well all day and I've added extra water to her formula to help add fluid back to her body.

Give her pumpkin and not the filler either. Mix it in with her formula and add water to make it go threw the bottle easier or try to give it to her in her bowel since she is eatting. Or I think someone on here said olive oil or something like that

A little plain canned pumpkin is good. Don't panic too much if it just lasts a day or so. Her body is adjusting to a ton of changes. Keep boosting her fluid intake and back off the wet food a little bit.

If it stays bad you can try cooking off some plain white rice and giving it to her- the starch will help dry her up. You may need to make it mushy so she can eat it.

Her tummy troubles have almost resolved. She's had a bit of gas but other than that, it's all good. I stopped giving her the wet canned food because I got so worried. I might not wean her for another week and then I'll mix it with her bottle for a while.

She's getting really playful and she loves pouncing on Lola's face :) It's very cute :)
