Hello! Reading your thread....very beautiful cat...gorgeous kittens for sure!! I have 2 momma cats right now...I have noticed that for a few hours before birth,,,they get very "meowy"...but actually very quiet during the actual birth. Just thought I'd offer that little tidbit & wish all momma's good luck!!

took her back to the vets for a check up today, was a bit gutted really they said she could still go another week! her temp was 37 though so hopefully going in the right direction, am on egg shells everyday now lol, they also said not too worry too much about her fur not coming away properly still she still has time, I wasn't very impressed with her in all honesty she wasn't my normal vet I see there and she did have quiet a good dig at me for letting her get pregnant when she is so young herself still, and I did have to put her in her place that im not a breeder and I had no intention of letting her get this way it just happened and I had had her booked in to get spayed but its was too late before I even found out she was pregnant lol im 31 felt about 12 the way she was speaking to me lol. bells is fine she is in her room a bit annoyed at me coz the kids had gone in there and messed with her bedding so I had to re wash it all coz she wouldn't go near it so she is a bit unsettled looking fat and grumpy still

hope it happens soon for you cant wait to see all the pic's of them going up :-)

ohh no our cats must be around same time when did she come off heat? the vet told me she could come this weekend or the next like Wednesday if not bring her in for check over (spoke to a different vet as my usual was trying to get me in for scans and stuff when I noticed bit of blood sometime last week even tho his said nothink could be done?)  that's terrible I don't understand why people get slated so much lilly getting pregnant was an accident and wont be happening again but everytime I google or look through other sites they always give you the lecture of how irresponsible we are ect its happened we know what need to be done when kittens are weaned ect I mean it cost 110 quid at my vets for lilly and 95 for my male getting them done never crossed my mind until she actually got pregnant and I had no idea lilly was in heat until the day I saw her being mated by my cat as she wasn't doing what I read on google through out the week of her heat then when I see It I fort ohh no! ohh bless her im sure she will get them sorted again give her something to do lol lilly just sleeps and lies around all day I think gosh girl u must be bored  she don't wanna play shes never really been a playful cat quiet little girl I hope it happens I didn't think id get like this but the hours are dragging now loool I will post pics n stuff when she has them im dying to see what colours they will be and how many! ull have to post me some pics when bells had her kittys :) xx

im not sure when she came off heat, I saw a black cat hanging round for a week trying to play and I was thinking yay she has a friend lool and a tabby for a couple of days the same week so was a bit naïve with the whole thing it didn't even occour to me when she was sick one day, I started to get a bit suspicious that her food intake was going up but that was it she stayed tiny til a couple of weeks ago and when they drop now you wouldn't even think she is pregnant she is still so small in herself.  they have guessed between 3 to 5 for bells but I think it will be nearer 3 she is not huge at all so cant imagine there will be that many yeah I cant wait to see what colours they will be with it being two different cats, can workout which one it was then lol x

ohh gosh that would be horrid I haven't had lilly scanned but if I had and was given a proper time scale and it went by id be pulling my hair out haha when her tummy drops labour is spose to be very near not to sure about rock hard I mean online that also said labour is close my little one has no milk or any changes from the rosy pink? I have no idea what they spose 2 look like if im being honest when I google it other cats have like udders hanging haha. I gta go on hunt as to what I can use to block up my bed as she was under it this morning and was crying coz she couldn't get out! I have no clue how she got in there tbh its like 4 fingers width gap? kinda worried incase shes hurt the kittens now but shes never goes under there shes always on my bed in her box or on the floor by the bedroom door fingercrossed then!

Please stay on topic in this thread. Posts here should be addressed to Kim81 and should concern her pregnant cat and what is happening in the progression of this pregnancy. If you have a pregnant cat, please start your own thread and ask your questions there. Off topic posts will be deleted.

Yeah, this doesnt sounds good.  contacting the vet already tomorrow is even better. Although I suspect vets open on sunday may cost a fortune....

Make sure what she eats is of good quality.  although if she loses appetite totally, so even a low grade food she loves and eats, is better than nothing...

Make alos sure she has enough with fluid.

Try to get hold on dextrose sugar (glucose) - useful in many emergencies, better than honey or white caro syrup.  If you can get goat milk, do have it, if you need to forcefee of for the kittens...

Watch closely, contact your vet, pray and keep reporting!

Good luck!

How's she doing today?  My cat mated 20 days before yours, and she finally had them 8 days ago, so if the math holds, you could be waiting another 12 days.

I was really worried about my cat for the last few weeks.  She was a slip of a thing (still is - she's about 3 inches wide now even nursing).  What was her problem?  6 kittens.  No wonder she was so big and I never trusted her due date.  She was so big I felt the kittens moving for at least 3 weeks - I lost track.  She was so big it looked like her hind legs were deformed, sticking out at almost right angles from her body.

Probably everything is fine with your cat.  She's just growing kittens and getting huge.  My cat definitely acted weird and sick near the end.  She had no idea what was going on (the cutest was when she would look down at her side at the kittens wiggling with a look on her face like, what the heck?)  I completely understand being so worried.  My cat's behavior and mood changed by the hour, and everything she did looked like a symptom of impending labor.

Keep posting what's going on - people will let you know if there's something completely out of the ordinary, and reassure you if not.  Hang in there!
