Oh what a almost disastrous morning. Prim managed to run out! She hid under a car while waiting for her chance to dash into the woods behind our house. I thought for sure she was winning this time because it was 6am and I hadn't had my coffee just yet. Luckily, I managed to get her. Anyone have N idea as to why she's wanting out so badly?

my house is quiet and even when im gone and come home shes waiting in the window or at door sometimes wanting out. i saw one of the male cats in my backyard last night again. Shortly after that Dora was going nuts at the front window, I wondered if she saw him.  Is she wanting the male cat?? Seems strange for her to want to be out with him when shes almost due. The males must sense her hormones because they hadnt been around very often but i keep catching them every now and then.

I had same issue this morning.  Woke up later than planned so I was rushing and my 3 year old opened 1 of the 3 doors I have closed to keep her inside, so thankfully she still had 2 more doors to go to before getting outside...but the first door leads to the basement so I had to go down and find her and bring her back up.  I wasnt too happy...and I dont think Dora was either lol

So as I mentioned before we will be moving in a few weeks. Today I found out that the county we will be living in, offers FREE spaying for prim as well as all of her kitties!!! I'm super excited! And highly considering keeping the kits. Would everyone get along well after the kits are grown? I cannot contain my excitement

If they grow up together they should get along but it also depends on their personality. If prim was around cats her whole life then she should be able to get along with the kittens when they grow up also. But it also depends on what their personalities are like. My grandma had 7 cats at once and they all got along so it is possible.

Prim does ok around other cats as far as I know. She was a stray and there are bunches of them around here. So I'm assuming she had to hang with them. The house were moving to is big enough for tons of animals Lol. My hubby initially didn't want to keep them all BC of food cost. So I went and got a Sam's club membership to save. Now after doing the math he's actually excited. We cannot wait to see the newbies :-)

Please note:

Many, many posts have been deleted from this thread. While some of the discussion was useful it was off-topic and not related to cwhit1005's cat, which is what this thread is about.

While the forum rules are:

The focus of this forum is to assist those who may find themselves having to care for a pregnant cat or to hand-raise kittens NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCE UNDER WHICH THE CAT CAME TO BE PREGNANT.

The rule is that NO ONE should be judgmental of anyone posting a request for assistance - please do not automatically cite all the good reasons why a cat should be spayed or neutered. This only serves to alienate those who might otherwise be helped here and perhaps forever turn them off from seeking our help. Also, it's generally kinder to ask a few questions instead of jumping to negative conclusions and lecturing newcomers about things that might or might not be relevant to their situation.

The focus of this Forum is to assist those who, for WHATEVER reason, may find themselves the primary caregiver to a pregnant cat or orphaned kittens. It is NOT to focus of this Forum to judge anyone requesting assistance. In order to reach as many people as we can with the message of responsible cat care, we must always always always remember to treat everyone here with kindness, consideration and respect. We want to make this a safe, comfortable place for everyone, regardless of their circumstances, to ask questions and seek assistance. As with any other forum here on TCS, namecalling will not be tolerated. Specifically in this forum, accusing someone of being a backyard breeder will be considered namecalling.
..we also can not forget this part of the rules either:

Because of our strong commitment to responsible cat care and treatment, we are a pro-spay/neuter community. Unless you are an experienced, responsible, ethical breeder of pedigreed cats, we do not advocate breeding.

If you find yourself caring for a pregnant cat, please know that the option of spaying while still early in the term is available to you. Many people might be uncomfortable with this, however, cats do not share our human values when it comes to these things. Abortion is not against their personal belief systems as it may be to some of us.Please consider consulting with your vet to see if he/she will spay in the early term of the pregnancy.
While yes, we will help you through your cat's pregnancy. the ultimate goal of the site is spaying and neutering in order to reduce the unwanted pet population.

Another one of the rules here is respect for fellow members. If you see a post you feel offensive, please report it by clicking on the red flag on the bottom right-hand side of the post. Do not respond to the offensive post in the thread or "call out" the member. There was way too much of this going on, from all sides.

Now back to the topic, please.

Thank you. Honestly I'm not really sure what happened. I wasn't on much yesterday and then realized there was some bickering. I did noticed one or two of my comments were deleted and wasn't sure why. Thanks for removing the negativity, I truly appreciate it. I came for help and other users have been very helpful :-)

You can send us a private message. :). If you click on my name at the top left-hand side of my post, it should give you an option to "send private message". :). At the bottom of each individual forum is a list of the moderators for that specific forum. :). If it is something urgent, reporting a post would be better. :)

The day has come! Prim is in labor, hasn't eaten and is very vocal. She's in her nesting box which is in my closet in a quiet peaceful room and I'm a mess!!!

Prim is pushing the first kitty out! She's doing so welliI'm in shock. She's very calm and she's not even crying. She tried delivering right on my living room floor. So I moved her very gently to her nesting box in my bedroom please all pray for a safe and easy delivery for my precious and her babies
