I'm so angrry, I can't find Transfer Factor Classic here is Puerto Rico, they say it is not been produced anymore, that the only one they have is Transfer FActor plus.  And I hate ordering online, it takes like a month to get here no and they won't ship priority to Puerto Rico, I''m so angry, everything has to be so difficult all the time, ugh!

Hello everyone!

Lucas has been on Transfer Factor for a week now, I'm giving him the 4life Transfer Factor Trifactor.  It has been so easy! Thank you Carolina for telling me about the capsules instead of the Feline Transfer Factor Complete.  It has been a blessing because he takes the whole dose and doesn't even notices it.  And I know it is premature, but he seems more active and happy.  Here are a few pics:

Thank youuu! I'm just so happy and it makes me smile knowing your boy is also doing better! Yay!!!!
We have suffered so much with our kitties ilnesses:-(

I have to say I'm a new dan of Transfer Factor, He's acting like the real Lucas, so active, playful and alert. I'm scared of taking him for walks because he almost escaped the other day when he saw an Iguana, he wanted it. He also ate two butterflies and a grasshopper, poor lil guys, I tried but couldn't save them.

Yes, we have been through so much w/ them! I feel like they are little cousin kitties, LOL!  "We are all like family here."

Yes, so sad for the butterflies & grasshopper, but have to say, also kinda funny!  I can see Lucas, "Arrrrrrrr, I got you! Crunch, crunch. crunch!" LOL!

Yes, I feel like we are all a family of kitty moms here, I love it.

It is amazing how much he likes to hunt, he is a natural , in fact, he was never thought by his mom, she left him when he was just a tiny baby.  The other day he found a small lizzard inside my room and he had it in his mouth, I tried to save its life, but Lucas ran, hid under the bed and ate it, he ate the whole lizzard!  my other cats hunt and kill lizzards and other small animals, but never eat them, never.  But LUcas hunts and eats....

Thank you Lauren for your beautiful words. Sadly I'm starting to worry, I think Lucas has demodex in his ears once again. I saw him scratching his ears and when I checked him I saw the black thing he always has when he has demodex.

Then this morning I saw him scratching his back and a little bit of hair was missing.

The demodex stopped when I started Lucas on 2.5mg of pred in the morning and 2.5 in the afternoon. I think the demodex "adapted" to that dose and it is all starting again.

I knew happiness wouldn 't last long. Now, what to do? If he takes less prednisolone he will get sick, if i keep him on his actual dose he will scratch until he has no hair.

Soo, my plan for now: I will give him double the dose of Transfer Factor, and tryy yo give him a little bit less prednisolone in the afternoon. The way I see it is, if the Transfer Factor makes him stronger, maybe I could lower the prednisolone successfully this time. But he started the TF on April 15, and I know it works slowly. I don't know what is going to happen.

Sad again......

Oh no!!
Just as it was all sorted out, & better.  Well, try not to worry to much, (don't want to manifest more bad)  & see if your plan works.
 "Fingers crossed, prayers up!"

I still pray for him, & will continue. Let's hope more T.F. works!

Don't know how to thank you for your prayers. I'm trying to stay positive fir Lucas , I'm trying not to panick.

The TF is my only hope, because there's nothing else. Lucas needs prednisolone but it makes the demodex take over his body.

He needs to be on a lower pred dose asap to get rid of demodex, But i have to do that slowly and I just hope that this time with the TF I can ne successful.

Oh you are so welcome. No thanks needed. "That's what friends & family are for!"
Well, hopefully the T.F has strengthened his immune system & it won't be as bad this time.

Give Lucas big, big hugs & kisses from his Auntie Kelly!!

Thank you Kelly, I hope he doesnt get as bas as last time.

Hi Carolina, No, I didn't I bought one that was less than 550, but since he got better when I divided the dose of prednisolone I didn't buy the 550ppm.

I will have to buy it this time. The problem is that no matter what I give him for the demodex, it will always come back because he is still on prednisolone. So I will have to put drops in his ears all the time and that worries me.

And he is also scratching his back now. I was so happy and he was doing so great... I can't give up , I won't..

My only choice right now is to make hom stronger so he can be on a lower pred dose. I know it has always gone wrong, but I have no choice but to try. Thank God he is eating well and ver active right now. I'm not taking him to the vet because they will do skin scraping and I don't want to put him through that...theres no use... They cant help him, only I can.

Carolina, did Transfer Factor help Bugsy?.

Same suggestion I was thinking, Tammy. I am SO sad to hear that the 2.5 mg. is not holding off the demodex. :( Just mega, mega vibes, sweetie. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

p.s. Carolina!! :hugs: :wavey: I also ordered the 4Life Transfer Factor Classic (capsules) for Wilbur (:heart3: dog). Thanks for the tip. I am thinking of using it for Pipsqueak and Wendall as well. You are a wealth of wonderful information. ;)

Yes Lauren, I will order the colloidal silver, but I will still need to try giving him less Pred soon. This morning I gave him 2.5 mg and tonight instead of 2.5 I will give him 1.25 and keep him on that for two weeks to see how he does.

I have hopes that the TF will help him through this.

I also thank Carolina from the bottom of my heart for reccomending the TF Classic capsules. The other day while I was putting it in his food, a little bit of dust from the capsule fell on the floor and he licked it, he actually likes it. It doesnt have a taste and it doesnt smell, it is so easy to give to him.

I hope your doggie and kitties benefit from it:-)

Hi Tammy, yes, it did.... I stopped when he started taking his stomatitis meds, as it had an immune-modulator in it already. I also take it, and it helps me a lot.
I would be very careful about lowering his Pred dosage.... He gets so so sick :( I have read of many cases of demodex being treated with CS successfully, and frankly, I honestly think that is the safest route. CS is VERY mild. It is not going to irritate his ears, or cause any side effects, but it might solve this issue while you keep him on the Pred dose that makes him healthy :cross:
You do need to be consistent though, you need to put the drops several times a day on his ears, in the beginning probably more often, but trust me when I say CS is powerful yet mild. The secret is you HAVE to buy the 500ppm. I sent you a link before from amazon. Can you get that one shipped?
Just as an unrelated example: a couple of weeks ago Mac attacked me pretty badly. He bit me like he meant it; it was deep. Right away I got a hematoma. I got cat bites many times before, and because of Mac I have my bottle of CS out with everything I need in case of an accident. I quickly washed the wound, soaked a cotton ball with a lot of CS, and wrapped it around the wound with surgical tape. In the morning it was all healed.
I guarantee you, had it not been for CS, I would been in the ER that day.
I don't trust many things, I am not one to ditch traditional medicine for alternative medicine on a whim.... But that's one I do.
I hope you can get it ASAP.... And I hope you keep him on pred, on his "healthy" dosage.
:vibes:

Tammy, I know pretty much everything about Lucas' health worries you, and understandably so. :heart2:

But take a few steps back - and look at those pictures of him. Reread much of this thread. Whenever you have tried to lower his dose of pred, he becomes very, very sick, Tammy. I mean - Lucas was close to not making it, he'd lost so much weight!
.

You DO have a choice, and that is to try the 500ppm Colloidal Silver in his ears. I have asthma, and have to take advair every day. I am allergic to cats, and I have to use a steroid cream at least once a day on something. CS is NOTHING like these - it has no toxic side effects. You'd be using it topically, in his ears.

Honestly, I would not reduce his pred. I'd get the colloidal silver and try that first. Lucas has shown you over and over again that he NEEDS that dose of pred. The transfer factor may help over time - but it's just too soon. Lucas JUST got healthy, Tammy! :rub:
