She hasn't scratched at it that I have seen, yet.  They kept a closer watch on her this time.  I'm sorry it needed more work, too. She has had a rough time of it.  The eye had been looking kinda bad for a while before the first surgery.  Even with modern vet methods, sometimes things don't go exactly right.  Thanks for the good vibes.

Yes, she did get that scratch. I forgot about that.  She hasn't scratched at that eye, but I am pretty sure that when it starts healing and itching, I'm gonna have to cone her. She has an appointment on the 20th to get the stitches out.  I will post a picture after it heals some more, it looks kinda raw right now.

She managed to untie a stitch or pulled a loose end out a few hours ago.  I immediatly coned her and called the vet.  She was out on farm calls and I will have to call tomorrow morning to find out if she wants to see Silly before the weekend.  The skin is still together all the way and she can't get at her head to do any more to it.

Oh SILLY! SUCH a stubborn kitty! Oh let's hope nothing needs to be done, and the rest of the stitches will do the job!!!!!! You ALL need a break!

The inside corner of her eye was showing a discharge of pus, so she is now at the vet's office so Gina can keep a closer eye on her.  She told me that there were more of them to watch her.  I really hate to have Silly gone, but it is best for her to be there.

Oh I'm so sorry! :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :rub: :rub: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aw, poor baby. :( If she has to stay longer than just tonight, if you didn't leave her with a t-shirt or something that smells like you, you may want to take her one. :heart3:

She has a towel that I have used 2 or 3 times after a bath.  I learned long ago to have something that smells like me in the carrier.  In fact, I leave a sweatshirt that is too small for me in there all the time. I also leave the carrier on the floor with the door open all the time.  They like to nap in there sometimes.  She ought to be OK, but I hate leaving her anytime.

The vet called this morning and told me Silly was doing fine, not scratching at the eye - even though un-coned - and said if I could stand it, could she stay another day.  I told Gina to do what Silly needed and I would try to not miss her so much I had to get her.  Maybe my other cats are the ones who did it by playing a little rough with her.

I take it today wasn't the day?
No, I stopped in today and the vet said she would like to keep her a couple of more days.  It hurts, but I want the best care for her I can get.   BTW, the vet is doing this for no charge.  I only had to take some food for Silly.

Wow, SUCH a caring vet! :heart2: I know this is hard on both of you, but it seems this short-term separation is in her long-term best interests. :hugs: :rub:

She is still at the vet's place.  I am supposed to call this afternoon when Gina is in.  Silly is doing good, but I am sure she misses the freedom and company here.  However, I will do what is best for her even if it includes being apart for even longer.

Just got back from the vet  WITH SILLY   It is so good to have her home again.  The first thing she did was went outside for a couple of minutes, then came in, took a drink, sniffed noses with Sugar and Julie, then went back out.  The reason she has had a rough time of it is because the eye that was removed infected the socket so badly that it had set in to stay.

thanks for all the vibes and good wishes.   She isn't completely out of the woods yet.  She still has a few stitches in the lower corner of her eye that will have to be taken out later.

Silly spent some time outside, came back in, jumped up on the bed and proceeded to give me some mutual head butts, eyebrow lickies, face swipes and a purr concerto.  Spice jumped out of the window and gave her a full body rub as she went by.  I saw Sillly this morning giving out a few gentle swats to ones who got too close to her blind side.  Gina had to cut the whiskers on Silly's right side to keep them out of the surgical and healing area.

I really missed my Tilly Twit.
