Tonight will be very exciting and nerve-wracking!! Two will be sent home tonight. James was awesome again last night, I loved his pepsi comment afterwards, and Ryan saying that Coke is the sponsor. James reaction was so cute. I also think Casey was excellent. Am so glad he got the save last week. A fun watch for tonight for sure

I thought Casey was much better last night without the growling. He looked great too after cutting his hair and shortening the beard. Tonight I think Stefano will be voted off and Naima should go with him, Thia didn't do justice to Daniel either.

I was disappointed last night, maybe because I love Elton John songs and I kept comparing to the original, and in all cases I like the Elton John versions better his voice is just so unique that it was playing in my head the whole time...
My favorite ones were James, Haley and surprisingly Lauren
Oh, and Steven Tyler looks so bored with being a judge already

oh..well.. paul still around!! i don't know why people vote for him.
i really like the show this year and i think except a few the talent is very good this year and it is hard to tell who is going to win it!!

I wasn't surprised to see Paul in the bottom three. He's really beginning to bore me lately.

Of course, I'm ecstatic that James is still there - not that I was worried that he would get kicked off.

I'm also glad that Pia, Lauren, Haley, & Scotty are all still there - although I still think Pia needs to pick up the tempo. She has a beautiful voice, but lately she's beginning to bore me.

Now they just need to get rid of Jacob.

Was anyone as shocked as I was when Pia was voted off last night. The judges and the whole audience was stunned. Stefano should have been the one go to, he has overstayed his welcome. So far this is the biggest shock of this season...wow.

Shock isn't the only thing I feel. I'm also really ticked off & extremely disappointed.

The fact that Stefano & Jacob are still there over Pia really ticks me off.

What a joke!

I'll bet the judges are sorry that they used that save now!

I've seen some pretty cruddy eliminations on AI since I've been watching it, but that's the worst one of all.

My only consolation is knowing that Pia will still be a star - in spite of what happened.

People should be allowed to vote only ONCE when they're voting, instead of hitting redial and voting over & over again. You can't tell me that with today's technology that it can't be done.

You just know that all the teeny-boppers out there are voting over & over again for the ones they're having dreams about. Anyone remember Sanjaya?

That is how I feel after this last week's show. PIA!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it........... I agree with KittKatt on everything she said AND you should only be able to vote once too. That is what makes AI so unfair IMO.

the good thing for pia is that before the season is out she will have a hit song out and record contract.. she is already been asked alot of offers.
look at last few seasons, where is last year winner? i don't even know his name..or season 8... where is tayler hicks.. he moved around and put on a show!! ...and look at daughtry and jennifer hudson and others that never made it to top 2 and they are successful!!

Look at, for example, Kris Allen beating out Adam Lambert. You don't hear anything about Kris, but Adam's already a star - which he rightfully should be. There are other examples too, which I don't need to mention. We all know who they are.

Did anyone else see Pia on Leno last night. She sang with Rickey Minor and his band who were Idol's band before going to the Tonight Show. Anyway she sang a little but they cut to a commercial and she was still singing when the break was over.

I agree that Idol is just a stepping stone to success, it's a good place to be seen and that's why so many make it big even tho they didn't win on Idol. As someone mentioned, a lot of losers on Idol made it big while winners were forgotten as soon as the show was over.

The 22-year-old New Yorker -- booted from the FOX series Thursday -- will record her debut album under the Interscope Records imprint, which is chaired by Idol mentor Jimmy Iovine.

"Pia is being signed to a deal with Interscope Records who are rushing her into the studio to record an album ASAP," a source familiar with the contract talks tells Us. "Starting [Thursday] night after the show, Interscope told her they wanted her and first thing [Friday] morning Interscope brass started calling every top songwriter and producer in town to get an album together and rush release it."

As for the contract, the insider says, "Papers are being finalized. It's basically a done deal. She's signing. They rushed everything but she's so excited."more

Though "Idol" fans are still coming to terms with her dismissal, Toscano -- who will hit the road this summer for the Idols LIVE! concert tour -- is taking her bad news in stride.

I was surprised, but happily so. Pia was so boring and I really hate that style of singing anyway. I wish her well, and apparently she already has a record deal? I thought they had to wait til their Idol contract was up? But anyway, I wish her well, I'm just glad my favorites are still there and I don't have to listen to her screeching anymore.

I thought the pia elimination was ridiculous, but it doesn't surprise me too much. She was one of the most able singers on there ...
At this point in the show they add so many special effects to their voices that it's hard for any of them to sound really bad. I thought at the beginning it was much clearer to judge their abilities, like when Jacob sang god bless the child- that basically put him in the category of genius for me! But now it's not just about their singing abilities but the song choices, the way they perform, and other factors...
I have never watched any other seasons if AI but this time I'm just hooked because of how many true artists there are on the show, not just pop star wanna bes ...Casey, James, Jacob are all just amazing..

So, who do you think will get booted tonight? I'm thinking possibly stefano or Haley

At this point in the competition, I wouldn't even venture to guess who gets the boot - especially after what happened with Pia last week.

I think it depends upon what fans were watching last night...

I'm hoping it's Jacob.

I know that there are a lot of peeps who like him, but he just grates on my nerves - especially after that narcissistic comment he made last week.

He was referring to Michael Jackson's song Man In the Mirror that he sang that night. Those may not be the exact words, but they're close enough.

IMHO, Jacob's narcissistic and a bit stuck on himself. What an incredibly arrogant & egotistical thing to say! Gag me with a spoon!
