Flambé disaster - Page 2

Wow I bet her hands really hurt from that! I hope they heal quickly.

I'm glad you are keeping Flambe he was meant to be yours anyway

Poor Flambe, poor Dottie, and poor you! How stressful for everyone! Tell Dottie to take care and if there's any increase in the redness, get to the doctor immediately! I just went through a cat bite and if I'd have waited, I'd have been in bad pain!

The worst thing is that they won't put stitches in that big one because they want it to heal from the bottom, so it will probably leave a scar.

And she dearly loves the little poot. He's in sleeping on her legs right now, as usual.

He knew he was meant to stay with you and Dottie. I'm sorry about her hands and I hope they heal without a lot of trouble.

Oh my goodness! Dottie's hands look very painful. for her. You two are such special people for making the choice to keep Flambé yourselves! At least you'll have a special cat to play with your fosters- you could look at him as just another part of the care you give the cats- providing them with a playmate! Haha.

OMG poor Dottie's hands. Looks just terribly painful. I was wondering why she didn't have stitches, guess the doctor's know what they are talking about though. Now Dottie will have a Flambe scar. for quick healing. I am sure Flambe was so extremely stressed to do that and you are wonderful at how much you care for him and understand him.

Oh man...nasty looking injuries!

And again, I understand. Casper would be happiest, I think, as an only cat with a human or two to dote on him constantly. He doesn't get that in my house. But he shows TERRIBLY... and he is very, very bonded to ME. I don't know how he would handle change, as in -- adopted out ...

So I am between a rock and a hard place with him. Do I continue to try to find him a home ( 4 year old plain brown tabby - yeah.. good luck with that) or just keep him eventho' the situation is not quite right for him.

Oh, poor Flambe and poor Dottie!! I can't imagine the fear he must have felt! It's so sad. But he is obviously calm and adjusted in your home, if he's back on Dottie's legs.. You and Dottie are so good to be doing what you do. Hugs for both of you. And healing vibes for Dottie too!

Dottie's hands are steadily healing. I suspect she'll always have a scar.

You should ask Lee to bring Persi over -- maybe he can scare Flambe straight!
SO glad she is healing OK. how is Flambe these days?
Dottie could try silicone scar strips to reduce the scarring. I used them for about two months following thyroid surgery and was pleasantly surprised at how well they worked.

We all know we are just a panic attack away from what happened to Dottie. As much as they love us, they are capable of hurting us in fear.

So glad Flambe is with you two, and hugs to Dottie for enduring the pain. But he is her boy!

As Carolina knows, Flambe is a clown, normally. Prancing around, always wanting to play, begging for a chip of ice to chase around the kitchen, scratching on my desk to get me to chase him (right now), etc.

We just clipped his claws a little while ago, and he purred through the whole deal.

Her hands look a lot better!

WOW, her hands do look soooooo much better. What about trying Mederma? for the scarring? I think that is what it is called. My cousin used it on her daughter who was bit by the neighbor's dog on her cheek. It worked so well.

After the disaster trying to take him to the shelter, we decided to adopt Flambe. He's so much fun!

However, we told the shelter we would not take him in to be microchipped. Nothing against microchipping, but no one would want to handle him at the shelter. So, when we did the adoption, they gave us the chip and activator and said they would have someone come around to install it.

One of the shelter ladies did it this week, and she was amazed at how calm he was, and how little he fussed. I mean, I would have been fainting, myself; that's a BIG needle! But he took it in stride and is doing fine.

That's wonderful!!! He's a lucky boy to have you! And I'm glad that they came out to microchip him in his home instead of him having to be stressed out going back to a place he obviously hates so much!

You need to post more pictures of that lil cutie!!!

It does on my cats, but its more like an aphrodisiac that they feel very attracted to.

Grats on the adoption, and hope that nasty bite heals up fully quick.
