Vibes for sweet, sensitive Evie

Just wanted to request some vibes for Evie, a very sweet, sensitive little kitty girl. As many of you know, I fostered Evie last summer/fall. She's been at the rescue since late Oct. with the goal of helping her learn to trust other people and not be so fearful of other cats. Evie was put out as a kitten, neglected and possibly abused, then left behind when her owners moved. She's an adorable, petite brown tabby with so much love to give. She's done well at the rescue, but has recently become a little stressed by all the activity, so the director wants to give her a break. So, Evie will be coming back to me to foster for a little while and my current foster, Zach, a very easygoing young fellow will go to the rescue.

Please send calming vibes for Evie as she settles back in at my place. We're hoping she finds an adopter soon, someone who will love and reassure Evie that she'll never be abandoned again.

Oh, poor sweet Evie. I hope she's able to progress with the calm of your home, and learn to trust, or at least not fear, humans. It can take so much time and patience sometimes. But it pays off.

Thanks, guys. I should be picking up Evie later this afternoon. The volunteers at the rescue have actually done a wonderful job of teaching Evie to trust again. She's received so much attention and reassurance. It'll be interesting now to see how she does back in a real home. She loves attention and being held and is very friendly with most new people she meets. Other cats really stress her out, though, hence the need for the break from the rescue.

And I know in your loving care and patience she'll continue to heal.

Thanks, guys.

Between the snowy weather and everybody's crazy schedules, looks like I won't be picking up Evie until the weekend. Her room is ready and waiting for her!

Eileen, I am so grateful that you are there for shy Evie.

Sending some vibes to handsome Zack for a calm return to the shelter.

Thanks, guys.

I was finally able to pick Evie up at this morning. She's currently under the bed in the spare room. Got her purring a little, though, when I went under and sang to her. She loves it when people sing to her. From what the volunteers at the rescue have said, Evie actually does fine with people. She's very sweet, loves and attention and being held. It's the other cats that stress her out. So, we're just going to have to find her a home where she'll be the only cat, preferably with someone who will sing to her and call her Baby Doll (that's her nickname, which she loves).

Please keep up the vibes for Evie. I'd love to see this little girl get a home with someone who will love her as much as she'll love them. She's only about 3-4 years old and in excellent health (just had a dental cleaning done), so will have many years of love and companionship to offer some lucky person.

For little "Baby Girl" Evie.
I hope she not only settles quickly, but finds her new forever home quickly.

Thanks, guys.

By last night, Evie was out from under the bed, exploring and playing a bit (she loves those little toy mice) and wanting to be held. Her sweet, affectionate personality really shines through when she's not around other cats.

Will work on getting new pictures. She so cute!

Evie seems to be enjoying her break from the rescue, although she probably misses all the attention from the volunteers. In spite of being stressed by the other cats, Evie clearly benefitted from the steady stream of love and care the volunteers gave her. She's always been very sweet, but is definitely more comfortable with being petted, picked up and cuddled than she was before. She's also become quite the little lap cat.
