It's the most wonderful time of the year!!
LOL

I
Halloween!!

So, I'm thinking - since my sister and I aren't on speaking terms at the moment, which rules out the option of a big halloween party like we normally do - that BF & I would just spend the weekend at home having a Halloween Movie Marathon...

The tentative list of movies includes:

Hocus Pocus (My Favorite Movie EVER)
Dead Silence (If I can find my copy because I think I may have sent it to Netflix by accident lol)
Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

Nightmare Before Christmas
The Butterfly Effect

That's all I've got so far... Any suggestions??
What are your plans for the best. holiday. ever!?!

I am going to ask my bf if he can spend some part of the day with me because for some reason I am feeling depressed about being alone without the family that day.

The original Halloween movie is great.

I
Halloween too!

I think this year I am going to try to throw together a pinup girl outfit if I can! Ran out of time and didnt get to make my My Little Pony one
Oh well!

We are going to watch:
Rocky Horror (may go to the theatre but I have seen most of it and Gary has never seen it, so we may not this year!)
Shaun of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead
28 Days
Halloween

and maybe a few more!

And Sunday we actually have a race. But I have made treat bags for everyone and put my business card in them for my picture site! Sneaky sneaky business technique
LOL!

My daughter is in Chamber orchestra at the high school. Her teacher's having a party for the kids at his house (his son is 1st chair violin).

They talked about watching a scary movie. The kids picked- Bambi for one of their choices

My BF and I are most likely going to a Club in our area with a few other couples. We won't be in costumes tho but many people will be since it's a Halloween Party at this Club. We're just going for the fun and seeing all the costumes. This celebration will be the Saturday night before Halloween and it should be loads of fun, I'm looking forward to it.

I'm going to a party on the 30th, it's kind of a halloween party, kind of just an excuse to have a party!
On actual Halloween I doubt we'll get up to much exciting, Halloween isn't such a big thing over here compared to some places.

I think I'm going for a little bit of both... I love scary movies but I also have a very over-active imagination so after watching those movies I'm scared of my own shadow... I figured if we alternate between cute Halloween movies and scary I'll be okay... LOL

I actually want to go to Dorney Park's Halloween Haunt on Saturday... We'll see about that...

Dorney Park!?! I used to live about 20 minutes from there! Wow, blast from the past.. I've never been to their Halloween thing though.. I went to Knott's Berry Farm's 'Knott's Scary Farm' Haunt thing 2 years ago, that was a nightmare. Way too crowded with high schoolers for me. In 6 hours we got on 3 rides.
That was the scary part!!

I will be watching football all day on Halloween, since it's Sunday. And we're staying home to give out candy to Trick-or-Treaters. Someone stole our 2 pumpkins we had out on the front steps!!
I don't feel like buying more, so I won't. I did put up orange lights in the front windows though, which I think can stay up for November too for Thanksgiving/fall in general.

It's kind of neat that the amusement parks do that. Dh is military, so we went to Busch Garden's Howl-O-Scream last Sat, due to the fact it was free. Well- almost. My youngest forgot her ID, so we had to pay for her. Then I had to make a photocopy of her ID and mail it off to the park to get a refund
There was drama at the gate- DD was so worried that we were mad at her for forgetting it. Well- traffic was icky and there was NO WAY we were turning around a half-hour into the trip to get it.

Anyhow- I don't know if I'd do it again. The park looked different. And it was kind of nice walking around and waiting for rides (even though I had never waited in a line as long as we did Sat- even at the height of tourist season) because it wasn't 100 degrees and 95% humidity.

My youngest found a group of friends and went off with them for 3 hours- they did a couple of the haunted houses.

What freaked the kids out the most was at dark. When things "jump" out at you. The actors can only get in your face- they can't touch you. Well, at one point there were these people dressed up like Jason with chainsaws. One of the girls in our group (just turned 13) FREAKED OUT. And they just kept coming at her. Even when we said STOP, because she wasn't having fun anymore.

It was something we had to do at least once.

Oh
I love Halloween too, I am organising a party for my kids and my friends little girl is coming, I have bought costumes for my kids, my two little girls wanted to be witches and my little boy frankenstein, or frankenstyle as he calls it
. I cannot wait, we're having cakes, lots of treats and hotdogs for tea, not in that order
I have bought lots of decorations aswell to put up, think I'm more excited than the kids
Just need to get my costume sorted, I already have my hair dyed black so I'm halfway there.I will take photos and post pics.xx

I am moving on Halloween. We have some friends helping us so I assume they will spend the day with us, but I don't know what we will do.

I watched Session 9 today. Was pretty good! I didnt think I was going to enjoy it, but it turned out pretty good. It was one of those kind of made you think without confusing you kinda movies!
I LOVED the scenery in it! But thats because I love anything abandoned!

I went to California a few years ago during October and we went to Knott's Scary Farms.. and it was definitely NOT scary! lol Originally I wanted to go to Forrest of Fear where the Renaissance Faire usually is but then BF mentioned Dorney... I have a feeling we wont be going anywhere... and I'm totally cool with that... lol

I ADORE Halloween! It's my fave holiday. Since I was sick the last half of September until a week ago (bad allergies), and due to home improvements, I haven't decorated as I usually do, and didn't have my annual party. Rats. I'm a bit down today, as they just started lay-offs today at work. I've been there 28 years, and they've never had lay-offs. I'm worried about my job right now, which is putting a damper on enjoying the holiday...however, I'm having my friend & her boyfriend over Sunday night for a nice meal, as I always do. The tradition started when I asked her to help give out candy (we've up to 225 kids!), and DH"s never knows when he'll get home, so I really needed help!

Yikes, sorry to hear about the layoffs, Marge... I know how nerve-wracking that can be... Hopefully, you'll have nothing to worry about... They always have terrible timing with these things... My old company did their first set between Thanksgiving and Christmas last year... and my department took the biggest hit but they managed to keep me and put me in another department... but that was when I decided that it was time for me to get out... and I did... and I'm so much happier now!

Hopefully it all works out for you...

on a happy note... just finished watching Hocus Pocus...
this movie!!
