Very long labor...

Thread Starter
Zoe's been in labor for over 2 hours now, and still no kittens. She's been pushing, but this kitten just doesn't seem to want to come out! She's been walking around the room, so she isn't in major pain or anything, I think she's just tired.
Any vibes would be greatly appreciated...

Things don't seem to be going well- we may have to take her into an emergency vet. We talked to the shelter woman, and she says that she's making some calls

This might be why it took her so long to go into labor. The outside kitten might be too large. Please keep us updated on her.

Well, here's the update:
They have a woman in town who used to be a vet tech, and fostered and delivered many kittens. If there are non in an hour and a half, she'll come over here to see if she can do anything- if not, they'll take her to the vet. The shelter woman said "if she needs a c-section, we'll do one- she's too nice of a cat to lose," so that is releiving.
that she delivers one soon! There's probably a big one blocking the way. If there's one stuck, it wouldn't have survived, but I don't want to think about that until I have to.

Maybe her contractions aren't strong enough yet? She might need the oxytocin to get them stronger?? I really don't know anything about animal delivery, just human delivery.

She did have very strong contractions, but we have baby, and she's a GREAT mom! Thanks so much for the support, and I will keep you updated!

Poor tired Zoe..,

There's still at least a couple in there

Ooooooh! Babies are soooo cute! And, blood is just a natural part of the birthing process.

That little gray kitten is adorable! I'm sure the orange one is, too, but I cannot see the face.

Good job, Zoe! Rest when you can.
