Ok guys, she FINALLY did it this morning at about 5:45. She's only had the one baby, not sure if there is another, but there is a lumpy thing inside. Will keep tabs closely on her and baby. Bottle feeding went ok, baby had about half of a feeding. Baby has some poo on her, this pic was taken before we got her body sock on her and I had baby in my hands keeping it warm and snug until we could make sure it wouldn't try to nurse. Mom is happily laying with her now, and I'm sure cleaning herself and the little one.

Here is a picture of our newest angel. Our baby is a black and white tuxedo, and little girl!!!!!!

I am so happy!!! Thanks to everyone who have been following my thread and posting. Can't help but be happy to share my events with like-minded cat lovers!

Thanks so much! Now just to ensure baby gets what it needs today with the bottle feeding, and we're good to go tomorrow morning with real boobies LOL. She is looking for boobs already but I did feed her. Let's hope for a good day today. Going upstairs to check on them and then to weigh her.

Jacky, she has a set of lungs on her that's for sure!! She is precious though, all wrinkly. Her skin is so thin, very different than the adults LOL

She weighed in at 118 grams this morning, so I think that's a pretty good starting point.

I have been sleeping inbetween feedings. I did get almost 6 hrs of sleep last night so I shouldn't be totally out of it today LOL

I thought I'd add this pic for a good laugh. I know I laughed pretty hard when it was happening. She was having contractions laying like that also, don't know if this position helped her, but she didn't seem to be in much agony at all. Very smooth birth.

This is Molly's idea of having a baby: (She needs to clean herself, I know she'll get to it LOL)

Mawi, I am actually not using a bottle now because she hates it. I am using a medicine dropper, and it has a nice small end on it and she's been sucking the formula out all on her own, I don't have to squeeze the bulb at all. The last two feedings she has eaten really well, 4 cc/mls whereas from the start she was only having 2cc/mls. The normal amount is 3cc per feeding, but I wasn't going to force her to have more than she wanted at the time. With the dropper, she's in control and it works so good. I am happy with how she has progressed today and tonight and can't wait to let her at Molly's boobies LOL. I know they're both waiting anxiously for that.

Catkiki, it's funny how they show their true personalities sometimes. She is pretty laid back normally, and the pic just shows that she's not shy about bearing all. Us girls know it's not a glamourous time giving birth, being spead eagle and all. I just got a good laugh when she laid like that.

Awwww congratulations

Excellent weight too - my little guy had just weighed in at 150 grams at ten days old - your girl will be huge at 10 days old

Baby is nursing with Molly now and she is so relaxed when you pick her up. She's not all stiff and screaching at the top of her lungs LOL. She seems very happy as does Molly. I just weighed her, and she's only 122g, 4g weight gain but at least she didn't lose any. I know that the colostrum isn't as fortifying as the KMR, but still, she is doing really well and I'm so happy and proud. I just saved a little creature's life.

Jacky, I know I need more pictures. I've been behind now on housework, had no clean plates but that's all taken care of. Just going up to check on Molly and baby

It's not uncommon for kittens to lose weight when they are first born - so a 4g weight gain is really good.

**News Update**

Baby is actually NOT a girl afterall. She is a HE and has a name. Hubby named this little boy Zippy. No rhyme or reason, just likes the name.

Here are just a couple pics to share. First one is of hubby petting him and he was purring (hubby felt good about that LOL) and the second is just to show the little white spot on his back. The color of his nose is from a scratch obviously. It is more of a scab now, should be gone tomorrow I'm guessing. It looks yellow in the pic, but he is not jaundiced.

He has his daddy's body....already more round in the belly than he should be for his age.

Zippy weighed in at 134g today, I'm so happy! He's gaining but not the 20g a day like is mentioned on several sites. Nonetheless, he's gaining and he's doing so good
