Here you go!

Both cats went to the vet and tested negative for both FELV and FIV. Sun Lee
has not gone to her home yet but I have introduced her to her new housemate
Zoe. They will go home together hopefully soon.

Shane came out of hiding (still in the bathroom) last night and rolled
around on his back for awhile. He loves being brushed so I try to do that as
much as I can. He's also eating okay . . . just a very shy boy. I would love
to see him be adopted with my big flame point boy. They'd make a good pair
of big 'ol cats. I will be putting Aedon in with Shane soon to see if Aedon
can help him come out of his shell more.

It sounds like she is very patient and taking it slow with him. He is eating so that is a very good sign. He is older so it's going to take time. I think his getting used to another cat that is comfortable there would probably help a lot.

You really think that people who work with animals every would know the difference!

Thanks for the update, Sarah. I've been wondering about Shane.

Thai is very shy also, and I worry about him if anything happens to DH and I. He's still less than a year old but he will tolerate no one but my DH and I, barely.
He is quite attached to our Senior kitty Spud so his ideal situation would always be in a home with another kitty.

I hope Shane finds his home soon. I wish I was in a position to take him.

Are there any new updates on Shane?
I see he is still listed as up for adoption at Siamese Rescue.
If he is still looking for a new home, I think I know someone who may be interested in adopting him.

Here's an update!

Sun Lee got adopted with a grumpy seal point
male I was fostering. The male was not fond of the other cats but was coming
around with me at least. Not sure of his past but he was definitely
traumatized somehow and not trusting of people. They went to their new home
a few weeks ago and I have been getting updates from their new mom. Today
she sent me the best news -- Sun Lee cuddled up to Zoe and he let her! Their
new mom checked on them later and they had changed positions and were still
cuddled up! It was the best news I could get. We never thought that Zoe
would come around so quickly. Sun Lee will have a happy life now with her
boy pal Zoe.

Shane has just started to come out of his shell. He sleeps on the shelf in
my closet and comes out after everyone is in bed. I check on him on his
shelf periodically and he comes up to me for chin rubs. I think he'll be
okay given a bit more time. Not sure how adoptable he will be since he is
older -- but his fur has become soft like a mink!
So if you know someone who may be interested, then definitely drop them an email!

What a wonderful update!
It sounds like Sun Lee not only has found a great home, but is helping the other kitty find his happiness!

It also sounds like Shane has found a peaceful place. It's nice that his foster mom is not putting a time frame on him, and is happy when he's happy!

Just got another reply from her that made me teary

Shane is going to the doctor tomorrow for his physical -- don't
expect any surprises. I am happy that he has found a place he is comfortable
in and that he does come out (the shelving is deep) for love. He also comes
to the edge and hangs his head over to watch me when I'm on the computer (I
leave the closet doors open for him). If he doesn't get adopted he will live
his life out here with me. It's my commitment as his foster parent.

I'm so glad that Shane is with someone so loving and understanding of his needs. I hope he will eventually learn to trust and be more open with his foster mom.

Sending tons of vibes for Shane
